Not as in "Loser" Beck but some sort of Japanese cultural figure of some manner I can't quite figure out. (Real musician or band? Fictional anime character? Not certain.) Which may still work for folks here, but worth pointing out.
.

Uuuuuuh beck is totally an anime. Amazing anime with some surprisingly good music. The mustang is not featured in it but i think may be in the manga. Heres a song from the show......

So it's about 550 plus some shipping for the stang?

Right around there yeah.

Just received a lace sensor blue in the mail, ordering a wiring upgrade kit soon... need to decide what I want to stick in the bridge position.

Shit that's fucking cheap! That fully commits me to selling my '69 comp stang I think, I can get pretty damn good money for that thing. Enough to buy a Bilt or something. And then when I miss having a sexy stang with a matching headstock in the future, I'll just buy one of these!

I say put the blue in the bridge, and something less hot in the neck, like a gold or silver, to retain more high end. The telecaster set they sell is like that, and I like it.

Holy crap, $550 for that guy is not bad at all. Nice deal.

Yeah, that maple neck one may be mine. I don't get why they cost 1000 and will only resell for 600 if you upgraded something. They shouldn't be more that 600 ever. NO SENSE!

If they made an American one, it'd probably be two grand...gross...

Well it was $710 with shipping. So not a total steal. But again better than anything I found scouring forums, gbase, and ebay.

Interesting, I was originally just going to get a hotter red or purple for the bridge. But I was looking at the silver too for midrange and fun cleans/aggressive distortion. I was thinking the blue would be great for the neck in driving fuzzes. I can always switch them around though.

Alright, put the Lace Sensor Blue in the bridge, and hot damn does it sound wayyyy better. More balanced, no more ice picky high end, warmer, and of course more output. Now my fuzzes and more importantly, my ears, are happy. :joy: It really covers my need for high output and fuzz, so that leaves me free to go for lower output/something different in the neck position.

Also put in an electronics upgrade kit from Acme. CTS 250k pots (lalz at the size difference from stock), switch craft jack and switches, orange drop cap, and cloth wiring. Big thanks to my friend and bandmate Jed for soldering it all for me. I am baboon with a soldering iron. Switches and knobs are smoother, I am assuming the upgraded parts also helped reduce ice pick high end because the neck pickup sounds a bit warmer as well, at least the highs aren't as harsh.

AND OF COURSE BIG KNOBS SO I CAN FUCK WITH THE OSCILLATION AND FEEDBACK OF MY FUZZIES. And we lemon oiled dat fretboard.

So yeah, conclusion is mostly :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: . Not sure if I will replace the neck pickup. If I do, it'll probably be silver or emerald, maybe a Creamery pickup? :idk: WE'LL SEE.
