I will in a bit. My phone has to charge before itll let me take pics.
So the speakers have been changed to celstion vintage 10s on some home made adapters. Looks very sturdy, I may change them at a later time but they sound fine...great even, for the time being...and theyre rated at 8 ohms but the amp says 4ohms. Is this an issue? A couples big twists on the crackling knobs and some air duster fixed that.

Whether or not you have an impedance mismatch depends on how those 8 ohm speakers are wired. Thinking 8 ohms wired in parallel equals 4 ohms in the end. Pretty sure...

yes. 2 8 ohm speakers will give you 4 ohms in parallel, 16 in series

Which is why so many cabs are 8 ohm, so you can run two of them at four.
Learning. It's good.

Pisses me off when amps leave off the 4 ohm tap cuz almost all my cabs are 8 ohms. Orange and Hovercraft are two of the most common offenders I've seen recently. I guess Orange figures you'll only use their cabs and they're always 16 ohms. Hovercraft is probably just living within the restraints of the Jet City design.

Curious. My Orange has a 4 ohm tap.
Which amp is it? if it's the OR15 I could see it--why on earth would you need to run a fullstack with that thing?

My old mkI Rockerverb 50, Rocker 30, and OR15 are the 3 I've seen most recently with only a single 16 ohm and two 8 ohm taps, def favoring a 16 ohm cab setup. With Hovercraft, it's just the Dwarvenaut that I know of.
I hear ya, don't need a full stack for the OR15 but it's loud as fuck and I have 8 ohm 2x12s so it was an issue running both. I have some 16 ohm 1x12s I use with smaller amps now days.

i'll bet that the tank is busted. it's easy to do...the electrical connections that link the springs to the transducer are quite fragile. if you drop the amp while you're taking it to the car you can kill the tank; when i bought my Laney it was shipped to me used and when it arrived the tank was intermittent and then died completely. fortunately, replacement tanks are relatively reasonable in price, but there are different sizes and voltage/signal requirements; be sure to get the right replacement. it's kind of funny that a new tank will probably cost about 1/5 to 1/4 of the cost of the amp, but that's a testament to the monstrous goodness of the deal. isn't it fun when you find something great for a stoopid-low price?

i play a beta lead
it loves pedals. you can stack fuzzes for days.
i like it better with 2x12's than 4x12's.
i would recommend the square magnet transducer speakers from around that era, not expensive but tough to find
this amp will make you happy for years

it strikes me that it might also be a circuit which requires the footswitch to be plugged in for the reverb to work. i haven't seen this with reverb, but it's not unusual on old amps with tremolo.

I thought about that. Its a four prong input...it might be damn near impossible to find. I think ill be okay with a verb pedal for now but it would be nice to have the amp in 100% order. Honestly I would have probably passed this up(or even known how sick sunn amps are)if it werent for ILF so for that, I thank yall.

I rocked a Sunn Solos II (similar in age/wattage) for ages.
The thing that finally killed it was a couple of the big caps went. We salvaged the speakers, put them in a friend's 2x12 combo something or other and they sounded great, and tossed the rest as schematics didn't exist and I talked to the then-expert at Fender who'd been at the Sunn plant since the early 70s in Oregon.
For the footswitches, are they RCA type all in a row?
