phaser or flanger, i should think. something that creates that elusive "sense of space." analog-ish delay is always nice as well; someone mentioned the Akai Head Rush, which i like a lot as a delay and also functions as a looper. my favorite ambience tool, though, is the EQD Ghost Reverb, which creates a space so lovely that i basically never turn it off. and if you haven't one, IMO a volume pedal is essential for ambient styles because it gives you the ability to create swells and drones with delay or a looper by fading the notes in/out.

I'd definitely add a Freeze into that mix, and some kind of light phaser as well. Freeze stacked with some delay and verb after it is gonna send you straight to the music of the spheres.

Hmmmmm considering what you currently have i'd suggest...

EQD Dispatch Master (delay + verb that is amazing at creating ambient textures all in one pedal)
Mr. Black Eterna (them shimmer verb tones can be pretty wicked if used correctly)
Eventide Space (the king of digi verbs and the emperor of ambience IMO, but it can be a PITA to use.)
Dr. Sci Cosmi-Chorus (the things this box does to your sound is unmatchable in the modulation world)
EQD Ghost Disaster (another EQD verb + delay, but its called a black hole ambience generator for a reason. gosh I miss mine...)
EQD DT sr (two separate delays that you can combine into some of the craziest ambience imaginable)

It's just a silly Genre...

What does Face Meltin have to do with Christ Jesus???

I am not dissing here just having a convo, like I said I've installed plenty of Worship PA's and Screens and Projectors and I just don't get it...

Eventually the CM2 will be upgraded to an Elements, been meaning to do that for a while. (but girlfriends.. right?)
The FAB will be upgraded to a GHE Stonefish, I like that it covers Chorus and Vibrato
I also might put an EQD Organizer on there
A Freeze would be cool too

Starflyer 59 is one of my favorite bands and it's mainly about Motorcycles and Girls... Switchfoot has one of the heaviest Radio Sounds around but again???

Don't get me started man, I could be the Foxworthy of church musicians.

I know man, from the outside looking in it looks like a joke. Trust me I've thought that. Then I started reading the Psalms and, honestly, there's some pretty heavy content in there. They were real, and honest. Now it's just like the Southpark episode, take a pop song and replace baby with "Jesus" and you've got a hit. WTF? There are great writers out there, but no one has ever heard of them because they're too honest, they talk about flaws and failing, and the need for Grace. Mainstream, conservative, christianity frowns upon that. (*deep breath* rant over...)

Thrice is by far my favorite band. Kensrue's lyrics are just amazing. He's now at Mars Hill (Westboro has picketed it if that says anything hahaha) writing worship music in a band called The Modern Post.

We're here for the EFFECTS LOVE as the site says, no one is down on Worship but it's just something that doesn't come up on ILF like it does other forums... You can apply effects to any Genre and get the same results so questions about "what's the bests Chorus for Punk, or what's the best Distortion for Smooth Jazz or what's the best Fuzz for Doom" get jokes... I hope you can find some useful responses here... I like punching Nazi's and one of my favorite books is my Bible Dictionary but I also live in the here and now...
