now, i want nothing to do with his company or pedal. i have zero interest in owning any of his gear, working or otherwise. i'm not even sure if i want to tell him the only thing he can do to make me happy at this point is refund my money. feels like i'd then have to alter or take down that YT vidja or i would be a dick.

BUT. since HE'S THE ONE THAT TOLD ME IT WAS WORKING CORRECTLY, i've been operating under the assumption that this is how he thinks these things should sound. if he's saying it IS broken, then i feel a bit weird about starting up a thing where 10 or more good ass players are going to bash his design, based off of a mangled pedal.

i did send him an audio clip of this thing whining like a howler monkey on the business end of a rhino's Brillo condom covered peen in the first email that started all this. so part of me feels like this is some after the fact, oops i fucked up, damage control bullshit. but.... yeah. i'm conflicted.

Money back and be done, he said couldn't resell a 5 min used pedal cause it would not be "NEW" well now he's got a pedal he has to fix after the fact so tell 'em to keep that shizzz ma nizzz... Refund or Tour Box...

After the shit he pulled with changing the website and the "I'll refund you 70% on a stock pedal after you've had the pedal for two minutes", if he doesn't refund you 100% (+ the return shipping to mail his pedal back) I would continue the smear campaign. I heard the audio sample you sent him before the video. Fuck this asshole.... if he treats other customers like this, he's giving all the small builders a bad name.

So, a customer needs to make a video in order to get their attempted return of defective pedalage taken seriously?

Has he explained to you why at first he thought the pedal was working correctly and now it's broken?

Tastes sour to me. Money back, only solution.

Even if he gives you your money back, you're not obligated to change anything you've done. What's already done is already done.
