mate...i can't talk you out of Octave...after playing a boss one fore a week, I'm hooked. I'm basically using it lightly, but using it all the time on single note passages. Its fuckin' awesome
you should definitely get another one!
Don't know about the whammy though...seen vids of it, seems really complicated...don't think i would have the patience to fiddle with it

Nah, the way I treat my whammy is pretty straight forward, when I actually use it.
Find the setting, stomp on it for whole passages, drop it off when done. When you get all fuckin dime age about shit, it's not too bad, you just gotta concentrate.
If you wanna be herman li or Tom morello, yeah, you got a lot on your plate then.

I do believe I want an Octave Multiplexer. Just watched a few videos and I dig how weird and synth like it can get. Have the OC2 but the 2nd octave down is useless.

Nah dude, I dig the fuck out of the OC2. I never used the 2nd octave down the first time I had one either. It either becomes too woofy or gets lots in the band mix. If it had been 1 octave up instead it would be perfect.

Try playing higher up on the neck if you turn up the 2nd octave down and set the direct level somewhere around noon, add the regular octave down and a fuzz / drive pedal to taste then it can get pretty synthy, I love the OC-2, I also mostly tend to use the regular octave down setting though.

thats why i wanted the ps5
2down is much clearer
im starting to understand why that is
the difference between the ps5 and 6
is pretty substantial as well
the 5 glitches out alot easier
i havent been able to fuck up the 6 yet
it always sounds good
together is just unreal

Ryan, you do nothing to help my GAS.
You know that, right?

I can't complain in the slightest. Got it yesterday, and for the price? Fuck yeah.

I tune to drop A and have this one song that I stay on the lower notes for the most part. I wrote it with the OC2 in mind and it sounds crazy with the one octave down setting blended in there. Higher up is ok with the 2nd octave but it always gets covered up by the bassist so I don't even bother with it.

I see, if you're dropped that low it's another story I guess, though the 2nd octave down can be nice for different synthy textures, that was what I was trying to say.

The Multiplexer has a really nice sound to it, but the one I tried (XO series) had a really bad volume drop.
YMMV and all, but something to consider.

I wanna get a PS6 and be just as cool as you.
