Weighed like six ounces. Just like the one i bought from sweetwater then immediately returned.

Super light huh?!? That's fucked up, JMs are some of the heavier guitars I've played. Everyone whines about LPs but my JM weighs almost 9lbs, more than my one-piece mahogany body LP Custom. It's a lively sob tho, I know what you mean by "feeling dead" as the TM struck me that way too.

I just bid on this because i played one today and honestly it was one of the best guitars ive ever played.... If i can get it for 1200 ill be really stoked

My buddy owns and LOVES an Albert Lee, just adores it. I remember first seeing it and being like, "WTF, really?" but after playing it I understood, really nice guitar. Think his has the all rosewood neck/board/headstock and some coil tapped HBs, pretty versatile.

You dont like the looks? I think it looks awesome. like a way modernized mustang.

I like 'em now, totally grew on me but I thought it was too small and strangely shaped initially. Also, it was just miles away from his normal guitar preference so that's kinda what my "WTF" was all about when he first showed it to me.

The Sonic Youth JM's are odd instruments, they are mid-high priced trashers in a sense. As the should be (in a way).

I have never played a Hagstrom, but I like the looks of that, how is the build quality compared to say Airline's, Eastwood's or higher end Teisco's?

That SG is sharp, and I really like vibrola's but I have never been able to jive with red guitars. I refinished my red LP to a gold top.

How do you feel about Inverness Green? Gibson did a Korina SG some time ago in Inverness and I REALLY like it. However I don't know the current prices.

Thats an old 60s hag so build quality is......well...its a beautiful instrument and the neck is suuuuuuper awesome but the bodies are made of about seven hundred different pieces. I think the builds blow away teiscos. The bridge is the most frustratingly useless trem ever developed though. It barely does anything as a trem and as a tailpiece....restringing it will make you want to put it right through the wall.....but the pickups are fucking ridiculously good. given the choice between a hagstrom and a mustang to be my only guitar for the rest of my life id go with the hagstrom hands down.

I cancelled my bid on the SG and the hagstrom. I kindof only want the music man.

Yeah i definitely only want the music man now. I dont really give a fuck about anything else. If i dont get it ill stay with my current guitar and just buy a port city cab and a fuckton of pedals.

That's a super solid price, $1200! If it doesn't work out, my GC buddy (same guy with the Albert Lee actually) can def get you a discount on a new one but I don't think you'll come out with a deal as solid as that eBay find. GC are strict with the discounts now that they're $47 million in debt or whatever it is. A lot.

That inverness green sg is hawt I'm a big fan of the rarer Gibson colors: pelham blue, inverness green, etc...

I didn't read the entire thread so maybe it has been suggested but if it were me I would spend a lot of time at guitar stores playing EVERYTHING. You may find something you would not have thought of that feels and plays perfectly. You never know when ordering online, you could spend all your $ on something the does not feel right.

it was all beat up too(good way)
im gonna regret not blowing guys to get the loot
saw a few on ebay when i was price checkin

You may find something you would not have thought of that feels and plays perfectly. You never know when ordering online, you could spend all your $ on something the does not feel right.

Yeah the problem with that is the guitar stores in the immediate vicinity are absolute dogshit. If there are decent things you are not going to get a good price...not that theres ever anything decent. Thats why i have to get an expensive cab. Most places here its like FENDER FRONTMAN 4x12 $700
