Ric only made a tiny number of actual 5-strings, and they sell for crazy amounts. Most 5-string Rics are conversion jobs. The problem with those conversions is that the neck is still just a 4-string neck, and Ric necks aren't very wide to begin with, so string spacing becomes insanely tight.

Just give me a plain ol' Telecaster. It's pretty well the only guitar I ever use aside from my 12 string acoustic... Can I have both of those?

ATM I only have a single bass, a Godin Shifter Classic 4. Fortunately its proving to be versatile enough that it covers all the basses

I need it to. It does leave me a little uneasy just having the one though, so I'm betting that 2013 won't end without me buying another bass to add to the stable.

I'm down to one electric (Jazzmaster), one bass (Jazz bass), one acoustic (Martin 000) in my home now (still have a couple old guys tucked away at my mom's house!) and I'm pretty happy.
I still struggle with missing humbuckers once in a while.

I've had dozens of guitars come and go, but my keeper is an inexpensive MIJ Squier E-series Strat. It's an '87 and pretty beat up, but the neck is just so damn comfortable. Never played another guitar that fit my hands so perfectly.
