Guuhhhhhhh the Moog is such an amazing pedal. I had a Ring Thing too which was good but it's too distracting with all the presets and other features for you to want to actually use it as a ring mod.
On the Moog, if you set Mix/Amount fully cw on SINE with a slow-ish rate, and Freq. around the middle on HI, it does a pretty damn convincing siren sound

related: i saw on tgp the other day that randy's is sort of capable of a "harmonic trem" phase-trem-vibey thing. that made me want to try it even more. but my bro got me a frequency analyzer awhile back and i've been pretty satisfied with it

I don't have a lot of experience with ring mods, but I think the mobius had a really good one and right now I use my Fuzzhugger Upper as one and I think it sounds amazing.

Just got the RR in the mail. Only had a few minutes to toy with it, but was surprised by how easy it was to get a good trem sound. Might actually make me consider letting go of my Hummingbird.

How clean can it get? Where is it, tonally - brighter, darker? What can you do with the crash knob? Can it do some cool tricks outside of ringmod?

When i think about it, i guess i'm not gonna ask about subtlety... it's a Dwarfcraft after all

So many weird posts in this thread... We've gone over what a Ring Mod is before and I think some people missed that thread... I like the Squarewave Parade Passive Ming Rod... Any of the old passive circuits from the 70's are good...

dug up this thread because i DO NOT need it but am pretty tempted to pick up a minifooger ring mod. i don't want my mooger ring mod on my board, love it but it takes up too much space, leaving it at home w/ synths. any of you fuzzers grab one of those yet? for a board would you stick w/ some other ring mod instead?

I have a Vitruvian, and I love it. I used to own the full-sized Moog ring mod, and played the Randy's Revenge v2 as part of the Fairfield tourbox (even did a brief comparison vid). They are all awesome, but I think I prefer the Vitruvian because I am more of a set-and-forget person. Though this thing could really benefit from some presets because there are like 20,000 possible sounds you can get out of it. Need to shoot a demo for this too!

I'd really love to get my hands on a Way Huge Ringworm. Those things get pretty crazy, still sound quite good, and the price is right.
