yeah i kinda wish velcro wasnt as strong
just a touch
speaking of custom boards
im workin on skullys right now
then i gotta do my 2nd one next
im goin with 2 smaller boards
but i may wanna put a tier on the second
probly for the new mixer
and things that dont get as much tap
not sure what that would be
or maybe leave the volume pedals off
i dont know
yhis is why ive stalled on it
the vox and vols are so huge

So this is prototype designation 'Mach 1':

There's a couple immediate modifications that need to be done to it just for ease of use; gonna drill some holes in the second tier for running cabling through, also need holes on the walls of either side for initial input/final output. Other than that, paint it and velcro it and this version is done.

Already thinking about ways to improve for the next version though. Gonna drop the second tier about six inches, along with widen the board in general (we went with 24x30, mostly due to material limitations at the time, think i'm gonna go 24x36), but all in all It's leagues better than what I was using. Now I just need to figure out how to rearrange the pedals in the most effective way in order to have everything I want in the front row (Freeze, Digilog delay, Keymaster, etc) available for the most stomping.

very cool looking,
I like the angle down on the sides. I may steal that look for my side panels (was thinking of changing them eventually if I ever buy cool looking jack plates

it's a good challenge to figure out what you need to step on precisely like loopers and such or tap tempo things

I think that TV is sitting on another TV

which makes an awesome TV stand

Am I the only one who thinks that riser is insanely high?

It's pretty high but he says it's coming down 6 inches on the next build

I think everyone makes the riser high on the first board, you want room for wires and everything else under there plus step over height is debatable

The best way for me to figure it out was to put my pedalpower AC under and a surge protector and ad about an inch for some wiggle room

vidret wrote:how about throwing away that old tv there too :p

i made my own board. will show off as soon as i get my custom BAT, before then i shan't be messing with cables or pictures.

The TVs are left over from a visual thing we did for one of our shows a few months back. We got them for free and just haven't done anything with them yet. Soon we might be moving into a bigger space and then THE GREAT CLEANSING will occur.

Not pictured is the third TV sitting on an old Pioneer home audio amp. ENDLESS TELEVISIONS.

The riser is definitely WAY too high, but like hbomb said I basically just was making room for wires and shit. But it can definitely come down quite a bit and still be fine.

Painting it tonight, velcro should be here tomorrow. Still gotta drill holes in the second tier as well. Then it should be good to go in time for our show on Saturday.

i should put this tidbit up
i tried usin plasti-dip on a board
and it didnt work out so well
i primed the wood with rustoleium spray prime
then two coats of plastidip
then velcro
i found out cause youll see in the pic
i put the hook side of the velcro on the board
which is what i do
but this was maxmaps xmas thing
when i went to pull it off to change it
it pulled all the dip real easy
one pedal pull would have yanked it
Image
i hope they start selling that rhino-liner in a can
i forgot to take a pic with the fuzzy side on there
so this was before the probs
