I picked up one of these and it got here last night!
So far, I'm really digging it. No complaints whatsoever regarding the sounds available from this thing.
It can get super spacy like in the demo but can also be really subtle and the oscillation is easy to control.
Also, know matter how crazy the repeats get your original signal stays intact.
The only gripes I have are with the side mounted jacks and mini trim knobs for the modulation.
With normal right angle jacks it takes up as much space as a 1590BB so why not put it in one and
have top mount jacks and regular sized knobs for the modulation controls?
Even without moving to the bigger enclosure they could have done either top mount jacks or bigger
modulation controls by not offering a battery power option which is kind of pointless with a 50Ma draw.

Got mine Thursday & kept it on for pretty much the whole practice. Kinda wish there was a more gradual sweep on the depth knob, it gets pretty extreme pretty quick, but it's not that big of a deal. Lots of fun to be had in this little box.

True.

Well, according to the stats 149 of Chanks posts contain "TWSS". Some of them belong to other people, but credit where credit is due, they're all likely Chankgeez fault anyway.

THIS!
I tried it out on Bass this morning and it was awesome as well!
If any of you dudes are on the fence about this one...YOU WON'T REGRET.

When I had the 616 I loved it minus the delay getting washed out with fuzz and not seeming really strong (compared to others).
But regarding the mod... After playing with it it made sense to me. The depth is very sensitive because on longer settings you need to adjust the depth and on shorter settings you need to be able to adjust it. Yea, it gets extreme but it's more to be able to accommodate the whole delay time sweep.

Anyone compared it to the Timelines lofi delay?

Epic necrobump. I've only played one for a little. Liked it, but went with a 616 dark because it's a little more "normal" but the modulation can still get plenty weird. I think the timeline is considerably more standard delay, with just a bit of grit and degradation.

Yeah well sometimes I like to bring up old threads rather than create new ones :-)
So from watching some videos I really like the lofi mki. Not sure if the mkii is the same but better? Some claimed that the mki's repeats wouldn't get loud enough. Supposedly the mkii is brighter?

Oh I'm with you on bumping vs new threads. Always find some interesting little tidbits tucked in there. Unfortunately I can't answer that specifically at all.

I could definitely be wrong, but I think the TL is digital lo-fi, like emulating early 12 bit delays. Different animal than lo-fi BBD stuff. I have neither TL or the Malekko, but the digital stuff I have with similar lo-fi modes (DL-8, Delaylab) sounds like band-limited digital delay but a bit crunchy, tough, and gritty, especially as repeats degrade. My vintage MXR BBD delay way out of adjustment sounds anarchic and a bit ring mod-y, but sweeter than lo-fi digital because of its degradation and because the repeats aren't as hard. In ways similar but really different things of their own.
