i just did mine this afternoon...
"nothing is" IS something weird. 3min 33sec of 1 chord and 1 drum beat looped and yet it isn't really annoying... at least for me...

whatever else i might or might not say in the way of anaylsis or critique, this record makes me happy.

oh i've been through it five times today and am totally happy. it's nothing groundbreaking like loveless but at least it's more fuzzy warbly goodness.

can someone hook me up with this?

Yup. I suspected this was going to be the case. It's all but guaranteed that 2 decades of "in the making" will leave you underwhelmed at first listen...but a Chinese Democracy, this is not.

Some of these songs are simply killer. Only one strikes me as "skippable" so far, but I will let it play when the record arrives.

The vinyl ritual: front to back and over again. Reserved for solid, enjoyable albums. Like this one.

ok scratch that. it's annoying now that i've thought about it before listening again. it will be most likely wind up being skipped just like the <obviously intentionally> annoying end to this...
