So I've heard. It's a common thing on the GFS and Biyang versions to get one with a critically wrong resistor, easily fixed, though. (Most easily Googled info on the fix is probably from TDPRI.) Don't know if the Akai badging has the same problem. Alas, I must console myself with my sweet 91 big-box "Vintage" Rat.
