It's not so much that, it's more location. Postage of a pedal is maybe like 18 bucks, postage of an amp is like 500-600.
That said Twin Reverb is all I'll ever need. So many pedals, I worked out one time that at it's real peak, my board was worth 10,000 but it's worth it (not really)

My bassist has it now, It's awesome for short delays, so dark and murky. Get's super noisy after about 400ms though, not as noticeable with low end as it is with highs, so it works for the bass.
