Though...Townshend has had some pretty damned sick fuzz moments.

some great choices so far! for me the i guess the first fuzz would be jimi hendrix on the band of gypsys record. I didn't know it was fuzz at the time but I loved it. I especially loved the bass grove!

needed to get my guitar to sound like that. That's when I realized what guitar effects could help me do.
