Well recently my pedal purchases have been re-acquiring pedals I've sold that I wanted back because of the excitement I'm looking for. It's great to have a big box DMM again and an Ibanez PM-7 but the Supernatural really progressed my playing out of rehearsing and dicking around into actually writing songs again.

But the second voice brought a whole new aspect of playing and creating songs to me.
And my personal reincarnation of The lexicon jamman with midi connection: finally hardware lets me do what i had in mind.

That's more what I mean... I have fun playing guitar always, but the Supernatural has me dying to play guitar when I'm sitting in class or at work. I mean the context is a bit different as I've never had a reverb pedal before that bonded so well with my set up and style. I just felt like I was playing the same shit over and over and the Supernatural broke my slump in playing. So now I am more excited to come home and come up with new music to write songs with.

I could just name my band board. Seriously, those are the pedals that sound like I want. I have the feeling it is missing one additional dirt pedal, but other than that, those are lovely. Out of those, the Demo Tape Fuzz is the one that does a particular sound I wanted really well and into my big amp it's just so good. El Cap does everything I want of a delay.

When I had the clean Clari that was REALLY inspiring too. But alas, it was only borrowed and it would need smuggling to get one of those here. Solder the dude uses is illegal in the EU. At least that's what we think is the reason.

I kind of realized how shitty my comment may have sounded. Sigh. Here's my thoughts. I've been in a playing rut but that has nothing to do with pedals.

Pedals that have inspired me recently.

Dual Elements, Megalith, B7K, Okko Basstard, Pitchfactor, Walkure.

Loopers tend to inspire me as well, but haven't had a really good one for awhile.

No pedal has inspired me as much as getting the right guitar or amp and just plugging and playing. But I still love pedals.

I know I posted the recent stuff but the first pedal to ever really inspire me was my ibanez DL10

there are still things that only sound awesome on that delay, every delay I have every gotten since I have put next to that one and tried to duplicate the sound

dude, you will love modulation, and if you want to try different verb flavors, the RV-5 is a monster

I find the most inspiring pedals for me tend to be either delays or modulation. Or modulated delays.

Definitely valid. Having a humbucker guitar after not having one for about a year or two really helped release some more aggressive song ideas in my head. Not that humbuckers automatically equal more aggressive... but that's what happened for me.

I had the RRR, but for me personally, I wanted the spring reverb in my amp to be more present and less in the background. The RRR didn't have a spring mode so I was left with all these bitchin cool reverb modes that I would only use sparingly when I needed them for recording or what have you. After hearing the spring mode on the Supernatural through demos I felt the need to acquire one, now that I have it fits perfectly and I have quite a few other modes to play with when I want to. If you really enjoy the RRR and it satisfies your reverb needs, then I wouldn't say the Supernatural would inspire your playing like it did mine. On the other hand, most of the modes on the RRR and the Supernatural are completely different, so I suppose it would double your reverb arsenal. :excellent: uh oh... Now I want an RRR too... :omg:

I haven't tried the Supernatural, but I have the regular RV-7 and the spring is pretty great. Definitely a solid pedal, so I wouldn't have too many fears about the Supernatural.
But I have yet to try the RRR. One day.

I suppose if I might as well play the game though. The pedal that changed my playing style permanently is the Fuzz Face. Before it, the volume control on my guitar was pretty much useless. Now I can't live without one. My wah has also changed my playing. Never was a wah fan before, but this one has a great sound and sweep if I say so myself.

Absolutely the Fulltone 69. Totally made me rethink my style, turned me into a volume knob player, and I no longer feel the need to have a gigantic pedalboard, and I'm stoked! Focusing more on playing less on gear. Loving it.
