I want to play guitar in a lo-fi, garage two-piece band.
I want to play bass in a stoner, desert rock band.
I want to play everything in a psychedelic band...

It seems like you and me, we have similar goals. Fuckin drummers being so hard to find.

The worst part is, a really good drummer is impossible to hide... so everyone knows when you haven't quite got one.

Doesn't even matter the style of music--the first Fairport Convention album, What We Did On Our Holiday has an incredible drummer, and it's a folk record--hardly the style that comes to mind when you think great skinsmanship.

Drummers are to ILF what Dumbles are to TGP.

Yeah, I think we should.

Also, it's about time that music took a turn away from drum machines doing the electronica thing. Programming drum samples (and drum sample quality) should be a lot better now than it was in the 80's, right?

Garageband has been my drummer going on 5 years now

I always found the Garageband drum samples limiting. Or do you program a MIDI drum thing in Garageband? Might be easier if I had a controller or keyboard or something..

I just use my computers keyboard to type out the beats and then go back and make sure everything is on time and tempo. I don't fuck with those loops/samples haha

I think I'm gonna spend the morning messing around on Garageband doing just that..
