Yeah, I'm looking forward to somebody who actually knows how to make a good demo getting their hands on one of these.

I don't get the 20m demos for one lousy pedal thing when it's basically just a rehash of the old one with a couple more footswitches.

Should add that I'm mystified by the choices in some respects - if you're going to hook it up with MIDI, you want more than three presets.

If you're the type of dude who wants MIDI control, you want precise control. Not bullshit knob and pray controls. Adjustable, on the fly control.

And if you're not, let's add some cost to the pedal for no reason whatsoever.

Three presets in this day and age of dirt cheap and stable memory is just criminal to be honest...there is ZERO excuse to have that few if you're going to offer any at all.

And still, no toneprint editing on your own.

Yawn.

+1

Yeah, it drives me nuts that they don't offer any toneprint editing. What? They think someone who's willing to read the monster of a manual that they undoubtably have for the thing, and dig around online for toneprints isn't going to able to handle designing their own toneprint. Bah! I say.

It looks like they're trying to make it intuitive to use while simultaneously making it more complicated. This is the big one, why not pimp it straight the fuck out with digital readouts, touch-screens and more knobs than there are stars in the sky (that's right I think touch screens on pedals would fucking own)

:oldrant:

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but it's 195GBP from Andertons.

Too expensive fo' me. I'll still probably get a normal original Flashback or variant thereof.

Dang. If it was a bit cheaper it could be great, but I agree with other people that some of the choices are a bit weird, especially that you still can't make your own toneprints, which to me sounds like the only good reason to create the idea in the first place...

Let's hope this idea eventually reaches critical mass.

Fishing around for TonePrints is only fun for a short while.

I'd like to be able to find what I'm looking for with a little less effort.

I've suggested to TC Electronic that they should at least post a reference chart with the parameters of all the TonePrints. It'd make things easier. :idk:

Yeah, this doesn't really go much beyond the DL-4, which came out over a decade ago. I like the idea of the little Flashback, and I almost got that hot Alter Ego that PGS has, but ended up with an El Cap anyway.

I think if I were to go back and choose among the DL-4, DelayLab, and Flashback DLX, I'd probably pick the DelayLab.
