Another vote for the Dispatch Master. OR using a short delay with the feedback maxed. OR both. I like both.
Reverbs are very trebley to me, which makes them sound kinda fake and hard to get along with.

EQD ghost echo, or better yet the ghost disaster!

rv-5. it's simple, built like a tank, relatively cheap, and sounds great. the rv-3 is great too, but more difficult to find a nice one cheap.

I know you said no spring but just hear me out. The solid gold fx spring reverbs sounds great. The decay won't be huge huge but it sounds good enough for me. And it's a real deep sounding spring, not one with fake blips everywhere. And the spring sounds in the background could give that grainy feel you're mentioning. I've never played one but I'm saving up for it.

But if you want a reverb to just overtake your signal, get something that can go 100% wet. There's the cathedral, RRR, the new supernatural from pgs, mono wet, some others probably. But yeah, 100% wet sounds awesome anyway.

or the PGS special edition of the same pedal. that goes pretty damn deep for a springy reverb

Ghost Echo.

Was mixing my band's record that past week or so... remembered the parts where I used it (we tracked it last year), sounds so good. Got put to work on vocals and such too. Great pedal.

If you get a chance to try the RRR take it. I bought mine blind and it's the only pedal to have a permanent place on my board. I read somewhere that the footswitch at the bottom turns it off, but I've not tried that setting yet

I said no boutique, but Dr Sci and SS/BS are two that I can get down with.

Will check out the RRR for sure one of these days. Got that reverb coming in the mail from Skullservant right now which I'm really excited to use

Kind of. EQD's or pgs's or someone's website says it's modeled after old spring tanks but it sounds pretty plate-y to me. It has that attack deal to it but I wouldn't say it really sounds springy. It can get kinda haunting. It just doesn't have too long of a decay which was why I sold it. But I kinda missed right after that. I haven't stayed with one verb since then! But that solid gold fx one I mentioned earlier is next on mah list.

Anyone know any good reverb pedals for Pre-dirt washiness? Or is everything mentioned here such as the RRR and the rv-3 good for that stuff too?

dude the RV5 is so sick pre dirt especially on the modulated setting
RRR and RVB are good as well but the RV5 kills before dirt pedals

another option pre dirt for a rediculous washiness is the Synth swell setting on a digitech espression factory
not the same thing but pretty sweet none the less
