I think it was GFS pickups I was reading about, and some people seemed to be saying that their quality wasn't consistent. If I'm remembering correct, people seemed to say that when the quality was good, it was good but when it wasn't, it was more..."ehh." Any thoughts on that? I am pretty damn attracted to their price. Also, my guitar is currently set up in drop A with d'addario baritone strings. I LOVE the thickness of them, but would they sound alright through a p90-style pickup? Or do you think that it would work better with slightly smaller strings, in which case, I would just bring the sucker back up a half step into drop Bb? I'll be playing doomy stuff, but not with a super dark tone. I like to get noodley sometimes and too dark of a tone doesn't seem to work with that.
