Yeah, in comparison the Jazzmaster doesn't have quite as much low end as say my Jaguar that has humbuckers, but it has this really interesting bite to it that plays well with my fuzzes on my board. I only really notice the difference when I switch between guitars after playing the Jazzmaster for a while first, but I definitely know what you're talking about

this babe is coming my way on tuesday
set up with 12s and tuned to D standard
i wanted to buy the new guit in february or so... but this has just popped up used locally for a nice price and my girl offered to lend me the money
i'll let y'all know how do i like it... i am pretty damn excited

i might need to put some lighter strings on it, because i'll probably tune just standard
it depends, maybe i could talk to the band folks and figure something out

edit: or i might try to keep the 12s in standard and try working with that, maybe stop relying on bends as much and try working with something DIFFERENT?

You'll want the thicker strings even if you tune up to standard to stop buzz and jumping on the stock bridge
