I have to go ahead and say 70's Deluxe Memory Man. It's... just beautiful, and can get really weird if you want it to

No. If I want something that's high maintenance, big and ugly I'll talk to your mother j/k

Seriously though, I'd get a tape echo if I wasn't planning on lugging this board around once a week or so. The mechanical trickery of the tape echo just sounds too sexy to resist
I forgot about the timebender. That pedal looks crazy good for roughly $100ish. That lunar echo doesn't quite do it for me though, the repeats from the demos I watched were too grainy. That endangered audio looks really good, like it would play with my input signal in all the right ways, but $400's a lot to spend on a pedal I haven't tried out first.
What about those blue xo deluxe memory mans that we're released a couple years ago? I've seen those on some boards around here. They supposedly have a full second of delay time?

Space Echo is probably the most robust of any of the tapes for lugging around, they are built like portable furniture or hard cover.
Still can be a pain at times, and I hated waiting for the thing to hit room temperature after lugging it to gigs in Midwestern winters.

Not sure what people's thoughts are here on the Boss reproduction, but I really like mine. Handling is reasonably similar to the original.

RE-20 is very very close, probably 97%+ or closer, the big thing it misses is tape compression/saturation and some of the smoothing effects.
It's better in some respects as well to be honest, extra delay time, the footswitdhable warp, the no mechanical stupidity.

July 4th is tomorrow. I decided not to order the AD4096 even with the 15% off.
My Superdelay is super awesome... but want something full analog.
I guess I'll wait for something else... not sure what.

Get on the Echoczar waiting list (if you're not already)
Then by the time you're a grandfather, you can have something to entertain the kiddies

I can't stand wait list. That's one of the reason I don't have a Lunar Echo or some Screddy stuff.

Skredy and Lunar isn't a bad wait at all.
Prymaxe gets the Lunar in every few weeks, so just keep an eye out.
I got my Skreddy on ebay - they show up every few days, every other week, etc....

Waitlists suck but frankly, life is too short to not have the stuff you want too.
I don't like waiting a few weeks for a pedal to be built...but...I get to enjoy it for the few years I have left if it and I gel.

Totally.
A few weeks or a few months I can do.....
4 FUCKIN YEARS for the echoczar.
(but I haven't heard an all-analog delay that sounds as beautiful or has as many features)

4 years... do you pay when it's ready or you have to pay now?
What I hate the most about wait list is that sometimes when you finally get the pedal, you find ou it's not for you or doesn't sound like you though.

You pay when it's *almost* ready.
He notifies you when your name is up on the list. You pay him, and you get the stuff about 4-8 weeks later.

That's exactly why Ed at Toneczar makes it a point to sell direct one-on-one with a customer.
He's extremly helpful and knowledgeable (on the phone and email) so he'll actually discourage you from buying if he thinks you won't be happy with one of his pedz.
