i've got to say, that video features the most developmentally disabled breakbeat i've ever heard.

graphical interfaces ROKK.

so far whati love about Maschine is it's basically a sampler. that lets you record to a pad on the fly. and with the full versio of Maschine and Kontakt on my main audio pc, there's a huge library of patches a-waiting for me.

good times. i havna got a sequence like Garageband on there yet.

yah. tonight's plan is to cut up that synth sound into sections, reprocess it with some bit crushers and delay chunks and build a patch for my singer out of the melodic stuff and a patch for my drummer out of the drum parts and some stacatto bleepy shit.

he... plays drums WAY bettah than i program them. so fun to hear what a real drummer can do with weird noises.

02) FUCK. i want that Akai. that video is shit and doesn't answer the questions i'd have, like how well it works with NON Akai apps, but the combination of Easily Mounted On A Keyboard Stand Keyboard that's also a charging dock and midi/1/4 outs is fucking NICE. i kinda would rather have the 25 key version, 'cause it sells for like 42 bucks and i like 25 keys more than 49, but that one only works with iphones/ipods. not what i want.

damnit. that's kinda hawt. if it works well with other apps. off to The INTERNETS!

urm...... we JUST finished off our 5th song with 2 more basically done, so we have enough mooziqus to start gigging, but we're going to a bud's studio to record 4 or 5 tracks before shows. i HATE playing out without something to hand out/a site to point people at. seems silly.

I agree I own a the 25 key and it is usable.. I already owned a iPod so it was a good choice.. but I think I only used it wince with a iPod.. and just use it as a usb controller for soft synths on my laptop Do they make a i-thing double ended cord? if so the 25 "might" work with a pad... maybe... I can't see why not... those akai thingys are stupid simple from the look of them and the usb works with just about anything... i-thing jack to mini usb maybe and a good amount of fuck'n velcro!

hurm. the RCA outs kinda bother me though. at $240 the 49 would be still cheaper than picking up a decent midi keyboard, stand, interface..... only really cool audio/midi interface i found for the 'pad is the Alesis one, and that's s'posed to have PROBLEMS with the new OS's.

hurm. i think...... i'm going to order the 49 tomorrow. pretty damn cool.

yah. there's the Ipad Camera Adapter trick for usb midi stuff that would make the 25 work with the ipad i think, but it would make you use the ipad's headphone out i think. probably gonna go with the 49 i think?
