Recently acquired a Skreddy Supa Tone and so far it's sounding pretty alright. I've only messed around with it a little bit (it went right into band practice)
and I placed an EQD Monarch after it for periodic gain.

Still would really like to try a Malekko B:assmaster myself but I think Supa Tone comes real close to what I was looking for.
Over-amped almost falling apart fuzz that sounds real thick when the sustain is dialed back a bit.

Audiomonk Fuzzpotion. This things kills babies.

If you feel like spending the money and waiting a year - Toneczar Vault.
Absolutely THEEE most wicked octave up I own and sounds DEMONIC on bass. There's nothing quite like it.

I think the Depth Charge is based on the Brassmaster as well, so you can keep an eye out for that one too. Although I think it basically goes for around the same type of prices as the Malekko.

I can vouch for the Malekko as well. It's still my favorite fuzz.

You can get a used Depth Charge for like 120-150. I paid close to that and it is my longest kept pedal. Definitely recommend it!

But for more brutal type tones. I'd try Walkure, a Twosome (fucking seriously), or something else in the muff family. Muffs seem more brutal IMO. Dunno why.

Depth Charge is probably my fav fuzz EVAA but I don't know if I'd consider it the most brutal.

I think Shinei-ish type pedals serve up a more wicked, raspy brutal tone.

I saw some pretty negative things about the Depth Charge guy on talkbass the other day, in regards to customer service. Might want to check it out.

Jack at Prescription has always been a cool dude with me - on the phone and through email.
He is a character though....

Can you point me to the thread? I'm curious.

Dude was tripping though. I e-mailed Jack and heard his side of the story. I think the guy overreacted to his e-mail honestly. I mean, so fucking what if he wanted a deposit on the fixing of the pedal. He said he'd refund the excess if there was any.

I think they were both trippin at one point or another  . Meaning, I saw good&bad on either side. The emails were very bipolar. I definitely don't want to open a can of worms, especially as I have no first hand experience with the company, but I thought the info might be relevant.
