Yeah, the frog can stay.

The galloping death swarm of tarantulas? Nah, not cool with that at all.

I have found two or three black widows in my house, but I squashed them with a shoe instead of taking pictures... Please tell me if you want pictures of the shoe instead. :p

I'll try to take a picture of the next one. I also have a huge legion of crickets, and a sparrow nest that every year welcomes new visitors.

This is Chalybion californicum -- the blue mud dauber.
A big fuck off metallic blue wasp. Not my pic, as my fuckhead neighbour killed it (well, it'a a big scary blue wasp! says he)
They won't bother you, and they kill black widow spiders. So yes they look scary, yes they're big (almost an inch long), but did I mention they kill black fucking widow spiders? I'd much rather have these than those scary little fuckers.

So, if you live in the Pacific North West and you see one of these, give it a free pass. It's a real spider fucker.

but Black widows can't fly, so the giant blue wasp scares me more.

Visiting my parents in Tucson, my dad and I found the biggest scorpion we had ever seen. They are usually REALLY small, like an inch, but this was about 5 inches long!
Right when I went to take the pic, a moth flew by and he just reached up and snatched it and immediately bit it. He was biting it here as I snapped the pic.

Also in Tucson, this is one of the bigger Tarantulas we found. He wouldn't turn around, and I certainly wasn't gonna press the issue!!

I remember back in the early days of the Interwebz (sit down, kids, Old Man Jrmy is telling a story - he's probably off his meds again), a friend of mine found a site dedicated to posting pictures of squashed bugs. Man, we looked at that site for HOURS.

The end.
