I feel really lucky to have a guitar like that... it was really cool to be able to trade for it and probably the only way I was ever gonna be able to get an EGC. Anybody on the fence about these guitars, don't be, you won't be disappointed by them. Everything about them is top notch.. the look, the sound, the feel, the fit and finish, the hardware... it's really cool. I like it very very much. It's so shiny too... all over.. it's totally the kind of item that can turn people into Gollum. (500 years of kicking butt on a baritone, booyah!)

I'm starting a thread because we got lots of questions.

Thanks! I did give myself a discount.. ordered every pedal I make. But my check bounced and now I have to sue myself.... it's getting pretty ugly.

It did take a little time to get used to the baritone.. check out the difference here between a 25" scale Jazzmasster:
EGC scale comparison.JPG

It's got big frets and a long neck and the neck is much thinner than say a big round wood neck, but it's easy to play and sounds really cool and unique, so no biggie to get used to it. I think I like the thin neck more than regular necks now and would probably like to have an aluminum neck on all my guitars!

Thread replied, Kev! I think you of all people would really dig this guitar, I know you're a baritone kinda guy.

That's my birthday treat this year... I traded a whole bunch of Elements for it. It's a 30" baritone and it's the coolest guitar ever, I can't get over how it sounds... I'm a fully converted aluminum guitar dude now.

FUCK ME!

Happy belated and congrats u lucky dog!!!

Pretty reasonable arrangement, hey Syl? It started in 2009 with my sweet G&L ASAT then in 2010 I got the metal Tele.

I love the Jazz too, it's a real beaut.. but wait til you see it with an aluminum neck with black block inlays....

Thanks Shannon!

That will be badass!

I recently saw this one with a flat black aluminum neck and white dot inlays, matching headstock. Very sexy. I want aluminum guitar, EGC to be exact.

There is this company in France that builds guitars out of steel, and although they're not in the same style as EGC, both materially and visually, they apparently aren't too dissimilar as far as tone goes. They both have a huge amount of depth and sustain. These have wooden necks, though.

Cool pic, Shannon, I dig that black fretboard and the blue colour... I love the shiny neck more though! I think the shiny neck and headstock are the coolest looking part of EGCs, they speak to me.

Cool link, Danny, they're beauts!
