i basically want my guitar to sound like that. my great destroyer takes me halfway there, i just need a buzzsaw distortion to feed it.

i used this for a long time. its pretty good , replaced my hyper metal. also used it into a muff into a graphic eq. pretty amazing. eventually i also got a neon green dimarzio X2N pickup just to make sure. then sat around trying to play where the slime live for several (very content) years.

One of the heavier tunes ever penned.

I have the Twilight Zone Keeley modded Metal Zone, and it's the balls. Super noisy unfortunately, but the middle-switched option sounds like it's going to spit in your cereal and kick you in then nuts.

I've got a Boss MD2 for the heavies. get's the job done.

Had a pedal called Classic Distortion, built by a local guy. Don't know what it was a clone of but it slayed, before it died. Ahem... but that wasn't very helpful was it? No I guess it wasn't.

I used to have the Digitech Distortion Factory, the Rat emulation did well with bass, way more metalz than the original - which is pretty bad ass, too, as anybody knows - and I also liked the Muff that didn't much sound like any muff I had tried, really.

And I really like the classic Boss HM-2, I'm hoping to get one for cheap from a guitarist friend who has turned into an amp-does-it-all believer. Metal Zone wasn't bad, just... nowhere as bad ass as the HM-2. Oh, and a Hughes & Kettner Warp Factory sounds like one heavy ballsy razor.

i think the Boss Digital Metallizer has the silliest name

i've actually really wanted to try one, the doubler delay/distortion in a box is rather cool. the distortion is totally analog, but the delay is digital. godflesh in a box!

The Metallizer is actually a really cool pedal. The distortion is an HM-2/3, and you can have just the distortion on if you want. It also has 3 doubler modes (basically a short delay) and 2 chorus modes.

didn't realize it was an hm-2 circuit. gas is now building...
