But I'm open minded and I love Strymon so I'm excited to see what this is

Talk to me about why the Cosmichorus is superior. I have and love the Ola, but...you never know what you're missing out there.

It's just more versatile and the sound has more character to me. The Cosmichorus rate control goes much faster and much slower (slow enough to do flanger sounds), the depth control goes WAY deeper, etc.

Then just down to personal taste.. The Ola is really "transparent" with it's fully wet vibrato signal. When the Cosmichorus is set fully wet, you get a beautiful kinda lofi sound I guess as a result of the analog BBD chips or something. That sound is super amazing, and way better than the perfect transparency of the Ola in my opinion, but your mileage may vary.. It's just the difference between analog and digital I guess. I think the Cosmichorus is just more "musical" because of its quirks.

But the Ola does the ramp up, stereo, and saves a preset so I guess those are it's advantages. Those features aren't very important for me but I dunno if they are for you. The Ultimate Cosmichorus should have some of those features I think.

seriously, these people are incredible. "the engineer is writing two white papers, therefore they must have two new effects!" no, schmuckface, therefore they have two new applications which can be in the same device.

If it is a distortion/fuzz/od I'd like to hear the reason for two outputs. But looking at their current line of pedals, I'd put my money on a phaser. As for the length of the word or whatever, there is also "phase shifter."

Maybe it's a pedal that you stomp on and it sounds like broken mud...

Oh wait...

Tremolo/vibe?
Ahhhh shit... they're releasing more stuff I end up wanting... and I can't even afford one pedal...

and about four sensible posts in the whole thing. maybe it has white knobs because they're easier to read against a dark background, DUH. and maybe it's a gray-black shade--like my A/B/Y box, my chorus/flanger, my RV-3, and a number of other things which aren't distortion boxes--because they figured out that light colors look lousy when they get dirty. when stupid people try to read meaning into things it's just sad.

Yeah, I took a glance. There's a lot of questionable detective work going on there.

I assume it's a phaser.

given Strymon's devotion to multi-functionality, a phaser that also does Univibe-type things would be logical.

Must be a pretty big deal. The Strymon page isn't loading for me.
