Now if I could just get Christine to work. hahahaha. I've messed up on like 3 different things and had to rewire, rework, flip a diode, change LED's...etc. Getting closer though! I'm super excited about Christine!

I saw you posting in the Christine thread at DIYStompboxes.com. I occasionally check that thread to see the response to the design. I get a kick out of people enjoying building and making something come to life especially with something I was involved in.

Good luck and I think you will enjoy Christine and the NerFuzz when it comes you way.

Okay, JWAR had the NerFuzz briefly, he had to go out of town. JWAR has sent it to GryGrx of BassFuzz.com fame. Hopefully we can hear some demos soon. I believe My Name is Mudd is next.

Oh wow...that could be good timing; the recording sessions I'm part of are supposed to start in about a week or so and if the NerFuzz is here then, I may be able to work it in to those. OTOH, I don't want to rush grygrx's time with it, since I'm looking forward to his take on it as well.

No worries...I'm more interested in hearing what you think of it, rather than my trying to figure out how it works 30 seconds before punching the 'record' button. If it's here, cool...if it's not, I'll use my 'Stache.

Arrived today. WTF... what dark rock have I been under that a design like this (speaking specifically to the adjustments) has eluded my view. I really just jumped on a tour box thing... yeah, fuzz... love it. When I opened the box I was, what the fuck is this thing? Read the instructions, was a tad confused. Plugged it in... choked... read the instructions again. GOT IT! Neat! COol! Swell! Spiffy! Wonder what this runs... web web web... $320... pricey, but unique. DISCONTINUED? Wtf... DISCOUNTED... yeah, I can read...

No idea, I dorked around with it on guitar for a bit (through a bass amp) and then had to leave. Oh the busy life.

absorb into things ;) I recently played both ME 1 and ME 2 in the space of two weeks.

Spent some bass time today. Initial feelings... I'm still in awe of the general design, it's soo... unique. I've seen some digital front ends on analog pedals and none have been this well actualized. It's genuinely easy to use once you get into it. There are a ton of pedals with digital engines, that use analog knobs to "bridge the gap" or make people feel more analogue-y about it... but this is a much better approach. Ditch the crappy part of analogue pedals (knobs that break, settings changed in transit, hard to 'get right' when you have many settings, hard to find the exact sound the next time) and try to keep the good parts of the sound!

So speaking too the sound. I think with a pedal like this, with so many settings, it's less about the sound at any one setting configuration but more about how the parameters react and interact. I'll need to spend more time playing with that to get a full view but...

Diff: This is the special sauce knob, can get some tones with unique qualities out of it.
Mid: Treble: Ranges feel too high for bass (not a surprise), leaving it feeling more like a strange band and a half eq.
Gate: It gates for sure, but not in a sonically appealing way. The bass gets cut significantly when you even start to dial this parameter above zero.

I'm excited to spend more time this weekend.

NO FREAKIN' KNOBS!

And it looks a LOT easier to set up/mess with/stuff than I originally thought (by contrast...I'm still figuring out just what-and-how my M5 is all about, and I've had it for about, what...two months or so).

Thanks sincerely for doing that...I appreciate it.
