Me? Ok you're probably right. I tend to think in resale value not how much I spent.

I also haven't mastered that whole saving up rather than just buying something when I have $100 and something to trade.

Tourboxes are pretty common on ILF. You set the ground rules for the tour then either organize it yourself in terms of who sends to who or somebody will volunteer to do it for you.

Recent tourbox threads are here if you need inspiration:

To each his own, I dig the attempt for original looks and sound. :thumb: If the tourbox goes intl and I can get my hand on one I sure as hell will give it a fair chance to impress me.

And THE IRON CROSS, wow, the controversy. You know, not only Lemmy is connected to bikers like that... Jimi Hendrix wore one too. I remember it from a huge poster on my big brothers wall when I was a kid. Couldn't find that pict BUT here's another. Doesn't show too explicitly in here.

It does present a darker facet to the hippie ideology. Love of freedom, one might argue, but with a sharp edge in the ideology. I believe that in the 60's it was used far more innocently than nowadays , as a symbol of radical freedom the bikers represented (consider the Biker cinema - yeah, NOTHING much has happened there since the mid seventies).

yah. tourbox sounds fun. aesthetically it doesn't really do it for me, but it's an interesting idea. most multi-tone-save-spot distortion/fuzzes i've tried sounded HORRIBLE, but they were digital emulations. i'd be interested in seeing how this guy sounds.

and yeah, if you want to do a tourbox, Delta's a super trustworthy duder.

ILF Tourbox it is!

I'm thinking of giving everyone a week hoping that is enough time to play with the NerFuzz and come up with some kind of review/demo/clip. Maybe have each person post their favourite setting for the other members to try. Each user pays the shipping to the next person. We'll try to keep the routes to the next person as short as possible to keep the cost down. We'll run it as long as there are people signed up to give each member a crack at it. Members that are say 1000+ post and atleast one year old registration.

Well Deltaphoenix would you be interested in managing this ILF tourbox ?

I'm REALLY digging on this idea. It's been a while since I've dealt with multi-fx, but this looks pretty darned cool.

Well damn all your pedals look interesting Tone God. I wish I had 1000 posts instead of just 5 lol. Maybe Delta can vouch for me :hello: I'm just a scrub on ILF. Ah hell, I'm just a scrub period.

Hah! Delta doesn't have enough posts! :animal: :animal:

We can vouch for several folks as well. Dark Barn is the man.

Us members on Talkbass also have a rating system in our B/S/T for each member. Giving you a full view of whether or not someone is shady. So that's something to take into consideration. I really, really think ILF needs a rating system too. I know I look at those things.

Bass demos all around it is then! We should all play the same song in the demo. That would be hilarious.
