Are there any at all?
Well there are, but they're all out of production: the Mesa Buster 200, the Fender Studio Bass from the 80s, the old Ampeg B15 (they may still make that one)

Combos! I am a whore when it come to 1-15 watt combos!
whats funny is a sold both my combos to buy a THD Bivalve w/ an avatar 1x12 & recently picked up an Ashdown Lil Bastard w/ a ampeg micro 2x10!
I would still love to convert the bivalve to the combo but its crazy expessive!
Dubkitty - the bivalve is awesome! lots of creamy, colorful clean & OD with that elusive 3-D imaging! oh yeah and it loves the fuzz!

Combos. Perfect for home jamming and gigging but can go into a cab if need be.

I voted head+cab. in my experience, most combos are open-back, and have less low end resonance. with a head you can choose a cab to fit your personal eq preferences, but with a combo you're mostly stuck.

Bullshit! You just bought a head!
Yeah, but it was only $150. I've always wanted to try a 400rb.

Honestly, I'm a whore for the "low wattage combo amp turned up loud" sound.

Ok, this arouses my curiosity.
Is this track (pyrammid paranoid) played with a head/cab or a combo?

combos just look sexier.
i liken it to the two schools of superhero drawing: the beefcake, and the athlete.
i wants me summa summa tasy Divided by 13 combo.
also those new blue vox AC30s are adorable.
oh and your favorite guitar tones were probably recorded on a combo. sad truth.

I thought I was too until I realised I hate power amp distortion. Now it's all about max cleanness and truck loads of pedals hitting the preamp (also clean!).

i know for a fact that some of my favorite 70s solos were recorded on a 50's tweed Fender Harvard, and that some of the most iconic solos of that decade were waxed on a little grey Supro amp about the size of two shoeboxes taped together..
the thing i realized in recent years is that i despise the sound of overdriven 12AX7s, and that as a result almost all amplifier drive/OD channels are utterly useless for my purposes, especially the ones that use HALF a 12AX7 for the overdrive. the only reason i use the Drive switch on my Laney is that paradoxically it's quiter at low gain settings than without the Drive engaged, perhaps because it's using both triodes.
the thing that fascinates me about the Bivalve other than its tiny elegant nature is its ability to use various power tubes...i really like the idea of being able to swap in EL34s, KT88s, etc. it's a logical extension of my obsession with guitars with different pickups for different voicings.

No votes for acoustic. I love you guys so fucking much.
The best thing I've got right now is my head and cab, so that's what I use, but I love the utility of a combo.

Lets also not forget the ability to mix and match tubes or run it @ half power by just using one tube!

While I love that sound a lot, I also love the "Low wattage amp through a 4x10 turned up loud" sound, it's pretty intense. Now I've got a head and combo, I wouldn't go back to just having one, love me some options. Plus I love the bass you get out of a big cab.
