Re: Drone/Noise Dudes...
Dr. Sherm and I jammed yesterday and we started droning at one point. No clips, but imagine:
Omnichord OM-84 -> Muza reverb/delay -> Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder -> EHX Cathedral -> circuit bent Boss PS-2 -> Hardwire Trem -> EQD Rainbow Machine
The main sound was simply the cyclic hum of the omnichord (no sound played) amplyfied/distorted by the muza/eau claire and thickened by the cathedral and rainbow machine. Sherm twiddled the eau claire & cathedral while I controlled the rainbow machine. Every once in a while I threw in the trem and PS-2 lightly.
Sounded amazing.
I'm definitely getting myself another Cathedral; shit is bomb for ambiance.

right now I am running my little phatty into this chain--> the great destroyer to a prob of fax machine to nasa attribute into mind warp into deluxe pitch prate into nagging sister delay into boss slicer to stereo memory man for loops mostly. I'm getting insane drones and weird abstract electronic music out of this set up. Lets get that split cd going!

Oh damn, that sounds like a lot of fun
Shit yeah, I'll probably contribute 2 or 3 long tracks, I've been working on some different stuff as of late, need to finish those tracks for the split off!
I think I'll post a set up on here today that'll be a preview of my album I'll be releasing shortly, hopefully a couple of you can give it a listen and give any last minute critiques

Re: Drone/Noise Dudes...
Goddamn MRMTZION. Nice!
This is my current project:
[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/omar-lords/at-times-there[/soundcloud]
We're a two synths & drum machine set-up. Roughly like this:
SCI Pro One > Hollow Earth > Unpleasant Surprise > Cluster Flux > 104z Delay > Spring Chicken > Goatkeeper > Parametric Filter > DL4
Roland SH-09 > Super Shifter > RAT > MuRF > 16 Sec Delay > Ghost Echo > SMMh
Roland TR-727 or 707 > TeaspoonCAS > DSD-2 > MoleS20r
Roland TR-727 or 707 > Audio Input Of SH-09
Roland TR-727 or 707 > Audio Input Of Pro One
(This is just one TR 727 or 707 split out to three channels...)
Mostly we just improvise around a common key and see what happens.

Re: Drone/Noise Dudes...
Shit, I can't wait to get off work and listen to these two!
Also everyone keep in mind that the ILF collective label of sorts, Noise Comp will be taking off soon, hopefully we can help all you noise artists out!

My album finally came together, I'm quite proud of it! All tracks used the Drone Commander as the main instrument along with all my pedals, most prominently:
Snazzy FX Mini Ark
Snazzy FX Wow and Flutter
Frequency Central Atomic Clock
Dr. Scientist Reverberator
smallsound/bigsound Year4545
Let me know what you all think! I'm going to be putting it on Bandcamp for name-you-price download. All proceeds will be donated to ILF, so you can get some bad to mediocre noise and drone and help ILF at the same time
