Memory Boy w/ expression, nice long reverb, Akai Headrush E2 for the looped and overlapping textural stuff. Throw whatever fuzz you like i front and thar 'tis. Also, whoever said DMM with the chorus slightly dialed up- gonna have to +1 that

From what I remember of the TAFM, they are totally different birds.

if you come across one of those Digitech PDS 20/20 multiplay pedals, give it a try

can do awesome weird sounding vibrato, crazy or mild modulated delays, flanger, chorus, sound on sound...

I like running my Rotovibe, GT500(clean boost), BMP, Trem, then into an analog delay with med-long delay and mix.

I think that's a pretty solid reflection of the etymology of the word "shoegaze."

Word, if there's only one pedal, then there's no reason to keep your head down.

Ancient Astronaught wrote:While we're on this subject, whats your guys opinions on a good shoegaze / rost-rock bass dirt pedal. Might have an opportunity to join up with a band playing bass, and i don't even know where to start on a small (PT mini w/ 3 pedals guesstimate) bass board for this. I will be using a 5 string bass (also looking for recommendations on a cheaper one of these, love my olp 4 string so i'm thinking of picking up a 5 string one) or tuning my 4 string to drop c standard (string recommendations for this???).

3xFx Fatman V2 It's like a muff on the harshest tone setting but with a "dirty" clean blend that just sounds ace. you can adjust the amount with a trimpot inside. I found how it was set up from the shop was perfect. Total sleeper pedals. and you can order them from Tom! :)

that said I now have to second the Clari(not) as probably the best pedal for teh Gaze. shit's like a weird kevin shields trem arm fuckery in box type pedal on the right settings.

Ha!

Anyway, I don't indulge in the 'gaze myself (since the bass is pretty much the "hook machine" and not "swirly-swirly-fuzzy-fun"), but whatever Swervedriver used for Mezcal Head is fucking ace.
