Try Warmoth's website. You might have to double check that their necks will fit your guitar though.

I play two steps down on a G&L (ex)comanche (drop A#, or C standard). I use the D'Addario Baritone Light strings (.013-.062). Sounds great, but if anyone wants to try and put big ass strings on a strat style guitar like mine is, let me forewarn you that if you have jumbo frets, you're gonna have to file them down a bit or play with a really high action.

I have a Dano Dead on (that I don't play nearly as much as I should). It's a little weird cause of the scale....I'm ok on bass cause I expect it to be bass, ok on guitar cause it's a guitar but the baritone is somewhere in the middle..stretched like abass but played like a guitar...confuse my fingers! :)

I have to say there is a huge difference between downtuning and a baritone. A baritone is not just the notes it is tuned to...tension, scale and guage all add up to something noticable different...the harmonic content is totally different on a baritone...brighter..

I've got an Italia D-Man that I really like. Nobody seems to talk about them but they're inexpensive and sound good.

I tried one of those out and really liked it. Didnt like the stupid finish but they wanted like 3 hundo for it. Went to the atm and while i was there they were restringing it and broke it somehow..........guitar center. :idk:

That new schecter with the maple board and real duncan jag pickups looks nice though.

Yeah, you can, it just probably won't sound as good as a bari (probably still will be good). I recommend using bari strings.

my friend has a mexican jazzmaster body, would it be easy to convert it to baritone with the right neck?

I just stumbled across this:

http://www.usacustomguitars.com/neckfeatures.html#

Under replacement necks they have baritone conversion necks. ;)

Warmoth made baritone neck but there are 28.5 scale with 24 frets,
I'm sure, original fender bass VI and reissu have an 28.5 scale neck but with 22 frets

I have one of these too, it's my main guitar in my band, strung up with bass vi strings and tuned down to drop A. Sounds massive.

I lurk on used.guitarcenter.com, and I routinely look to see what baritones they have up. They normally have most of the things that have been discussed in this thread, plus Schecter Hellcats from time to time. Just today, I purchased an Ibanez Mike Mushok baritone with case for $400 after shipping and tax.
