There is tons of great stuff on that site...I don't think it is run by them or something anymore. They got hacked/bought out or something at one time.
But, yea, tons of awesome stuff on there. Mr. Spastic Claps and Leads while you are there...and stuff by nullsleep...and that one with all the depeche mode covers. I think there is another one with 80s covers (My Fiero). Yea!

^ Yes to all of that. Also, get the Bad Joke EP by Random, for more dancy/discoy jams. That page is like a candy store.

Chip was how I started out writing music. LSDJ isn't really that bad of a learning curve. You just have to play with it for a couple of weeks and eventually it starts to click. I'm still a demon in a tracker. Renoise has been my primary music tool from day 1 so trackers feel like home to me.
My favorite chip tracker has always been MilkyTracker though. But that's a PC thing, very different from the Gameboy sounds.
The Depreciation Guild fucking rule and Kurt's current band/project Ice Choir is sick as well (though more synths, less chip. like an extension of Spirit Youth but more on the pop side of things.)
And if we're talking about chip labels, you can't go wrong with the Pause discography. Good selection from the wide spectrum of the chip scene.
