I think yer gonna want something with a clean blend, therefore I second the TAFM recommendations.

Imagine violin with the gate mod, that'd be weird yet awesome

The Great Destroyer is fun but any kind of buffer in front of it is no good.

I know. I joined the place because of the builders/pleasant community, after I first got into effect boxes. Fuzz, being glory rendered as transistors and sonic 'Whoomph', I only tried out because of this place, and for this, I thank you.

Almost! I am an Adoom Eire! An island? Yes! At one point owned by Britain? Yes! Entirely populated by boss level versions of normal animals with flying poison powers and instant-kill attacks? No!

We are the pussy Australia if you will. And for it, we had the time to make music that is both inherently ridiculous and borderline impossible to play.

You should get something by Dwarfcraft, like a Thundaa or a Great Destroyer.

From the times I've seen him Dirty Threeing, it's a Tubescreamer, EQ and a BD-2, coupled with "the mack truck of violins" that give him his beastliness. When I saw him with Grinderman, there were manymanymany more buttons.

Many.

And to everyone else, I will be trying out many devices. MANY.

What I liked about the Big Muff was the THICKNESS, the massive harmonic content of the notes, and the low end. It was sweet. Very sweet. I like when a pedal causes feedback and nothing but feedback unless I'm playing hard.
I play.

That's what the TAFM sounds like for me (90% of the time, sometimes it's on one of the 50 other awesome settings) - the feedback. Just huuuuuuuuge fuzz, but also really sweet and rich.

+1, the easily produced and controlled feedback that the TAFM makes is awesomeeeeeee

Yes. Yes. Yes. One of the most versatile fuzz pedals I've played with. It has it all. Octave up, crossover distortion, clean blend, oscillation. What more could you possibly want? It gets mighty THICK. A metric shit-ton of sounds'll come out of this fuzzbox.

I think you'd like The Goose.

AB-Synth is something everyone should fuck with at one point or another.

I've lusted after the AB-Synth since I came here. I really want to fuck with one and Jero's $90 AB-Synth in the b/s/t is making it hard to resist. But alas, I'm fuckin broke.

I think Rasputina uses Muffs for their cellos. But yeah, I think a Thundaa might be right up your alley.
