Re: What music are you diggin' NOW???
I've been listening to the newest Daysleepers album a lot lately. I think it's called "Drowned in Sound."
And some Butterfly Explosion too.
And the Autumns' first three releases (Suicide at Strell Park EP, The Angel Pool, Winter in a Silver Box EP)
Oh, and Trespassers William (both albums).
I think I've listened to all of these releases almost every day this week, some multiple times a day.

The Clientele - That Night, a Forest Grew (EP)
the clientele-- <3 --still making good music..
perhaps a little more accessible than their earlier, darker material.. which i still lub, btw....
sweet psychedelic pop...

Anyone else here familiar with this fantastic psych/pop band?
http
tracks in order of preference....
4. That Night, a Forest Grew & 1. Retiro Park
3. George Say He Has Lost His Way In This World
2. Share the Night
Great EP!
support nutritious music...
nourish the soul!
btw the Clientele has been one of my top bands since discovering them in 1999.
It's amazing how London overlooks her treasures... just like the House of Love...
just like the Brits embraced black music.. kinda makes me fink.. maybe it's my duty to repackage my influences and travel east??
here's a review:
“This is the third, and last, of a trilogy of E.P.s the Clientele have recorded for Acuarela. They have always used the Acuarela E.P.s as a way to stretch out between albums, to create a through-the-looking-glass version of the band that shadows the better-known history of their albums. ‘Ariadne’ experimented with drones and minimalism, ‘The Lost Weekend’ stretched the foggy sound of their debut to epic proportions. In contrast “That Night, a Forest Grew’ is the most commercial and -shockingly- danceable thing they’ve ever recorded. Part Bacharach, part Television, part Orange Juice, the E.P. shares the pristine clarity, light and shade of ‘God Save the Clientele’, but adds a new element of summer pop perfection. This is The Clientele as a hazily remembered 1970s cartoon series, all distanced off-key colours; imaginary summer hits, radio waves beamed in from a dream-discotheque.”
