Would an iPhone / iPad app do the trick?

i don't know...i don't have an iPhone or iPad. i'm so paleo in terms of my portable tech that my cell phone doesn't even flip. anyway, i'm thinking of something that's a standalone box. the idea came to me from the application on one of the high-end tremolos--i forget whether it's the Goatkeeper or what--where you can draw the waveform with a knob. it'd be so much simpler with a touchscreen, where you could actually see the waveform.

Was this what you were thinking of?

Eventide Space sons!
Ok, probably not exactly what you're wanting 'mond, but there is a tremverb setting... and there's definitely reverse!

I can't comprehend how someone would pay more than $200-ish for a single pedal.

A Max/MSP pedal.

Max/MSP randomly pitch shifts/delays/distorts/loops/creates computer noises/generally fucks up your guitar tone at totally random intervals.

I want a pedal about the size of the Geiger Counter WMD, with a tiny computer inside to hold the file, with several adjustable presets. I'd want it to have several knobs each to control delay time, levels of pitch bending, levels of glitching, and most importantly, knobs to what ratio and intervals the glitches, pitch bending and delays trigger. I'd also love it to be stereo, have an expression pedal out, a USB out to connect with the internet and download/load patches built online, and be fully bypass.
...and I've got no mother and I've got no dad. :yay:

Building on the Max/MSP pedal idea, just a straight-up VST pedal would be awesome. Maybe... input/output gain, 4 assignable rotaries, a switch changing which parameters the rotaries effect, stereo i/o, two expression inputs, bypass footswitch, assignable footswitch, and a switch that changes which VST's loaded?

I know there's something similar in rack format, and since you're only running one plugin at once, this should be about pedal size... I'd be all over it.

I always thought this would be a neat thing to try out.

Reverse order Absynth Dream
And there's actually something I've got in the works(though it may be a while) that'll get me close to the Roland Jet Phase  sans,Step Mode

eh, i think the Max/MSP pedal thing kinda ruins guitar playing because you can get the same results with a dummy plug or w/e.

Again, this seems like something Copilot or Cloudscapes could do... right up either of their alleys...
