I've stalked these forums for a while, but this is my first real post. I've actually been slowly changing my lifestyle for the past year or so. I quit smoking. Then I quit anything with HFCS in it. Started looking for other horrible things to keep out of my body. Went from around 280+ to 235 and dropping. Being around 5,11 I thinking anywhere from 180-200 is good for me.
I've really stepped it up, and I started P90 about 6 or 7 weeks ago. I have attempted different strategies to aid the weight loss. Even attempted the juice purge thing I saw in a movie. After serious headaches and dizziness, I decided incorporating a whole lot more fruits and veg into the diet was the better more sustainable way to go.
I start every morning out with a 24oz (by weight) smoothie. Soy milk, Any juice, purple berries, banana, and something orange. (learned that one from alton brown) Before the breakfast though I drink a big glass of water. I also usually go for some sort of walk/run. Come back drink that, then work out about an hour later.
The rest of my time is filled with work, watching pedal demos, or recording music. I'm pretty sure my girlfriend is in there somewhere, but
I also eat the fuck out of some hummus. Replaced ranch, mayo, and just about every other condiment other than mustard. It's really easy to make from scratch, too. That way you can control what goes into it.
cool thread, feels good to share the experience.

Switch to light string cheese. you'll halve your cals per serving, and you can eat it slowly because it's all stringy

OK, that is a good plan
Processed american is probably just like shoveling lard into myself.
I may try eating egg whites as I enjoy them and they are pretty good protien with limited fat.

Frigo - Cheese Heads Light string is the best. it's not dry, and it has the creamy, cheesy texture.

Gah! I backslid this week and gained back almost a half pound. The sad thing is that I know pretty much exactly what did it... at a party last weekend... my friend's wife made the most amazing cornbread with agave butter... and we all ate bunches and bunches... and then she revealed that she made the cornbread with heavy cream... and I had many beers on top of that...

Then there were a bunch of small infractions this week (beers when I shouldn't have, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, etc...)...
Oh well. It was delicious at the time. Will move ever onward with the diet and get back on track.
