11-?
Naked Strings look excellent for custom sets but I've yet to see/hear any reviews...

DR has some 11 sets available, not ideal for my setups though.
Tite Fit and Highbeams come 11-50
DDT come 11-54
I think an 11-52 set would be ideal but that's just me. D'Addario has some better 11 sets available but I hate those strings. Order some Naked Strings Fuzzy Fred and let us know what you think!

GHS apparently have two Boomers variations on .011 sets, one that's standard and one with heavy bottoms.

I love that they give you the choice of wound or plain on the G.
These strings sound really good and last a long time too.
A 12 pack is only $29.99.

My last few string changes have been with Elixir nanoweb strings, .011-.049, I think they're gooders.

Ooh, those look good, and that price, Thanks!
Those are perfect, top to bottom, which is rare.
I use a 10-50 DR set normally so their 11-50 feels weird to me...

Sound and feel brand new forever! Best I've tried and available in a good variety of gauges.
EDIT: haven't tried the Highbeams but I'm sure DR anything is a safe bet..
These are what I usually use. They're awesome.
I've had a set of EB regular slinkys on my tele for like a year and they're so black and crusty... I've been thinking of changing them but I kinda like the way they sound all old and shit.

Holy Schnikes wrote:I tried D'Addarios because they had a uniquely gauged set I liked but they started feeling "tacky" and "old" within a week, maybe a bad batch? I don't know, it wasn't a good first experience so back to the DRs.
This is the way DRs are. You have to let them "break in" for about a week or two, and after that they'll settle into this REALLY nice feel and sound. And they'll stay that way for 8+ months, without fail.
Fun fact: I used to work for DR

Also, if you want to go to your local DR dealer and they can custom order gauge sets for you. If your dealer gives you a problem call DR up and they'll hook you up. So long as they make the string in that gauge, they'll do mix/match gauge sets.

Good to know electrical, thanks for the info!
And I agree, once they get through a week or so, DRs break in and last FOREVER. I've gone 6 months between string changes when I'm not playing out much and they still sound and feel new which is insane. As for price, they don't seem quite as high when you calculate the mileage you get out of each set....
