i have heard all about it. how far you have the thumb in. the depth of the middle and ring fingers. the distance between the holes. do you want rubbers or the natural feel of the drilled hole???
i am not a bowler really but my old boss was and he shared several secrets about life on the lanes as he was a lifetime 209 average...
it's not super bass-y or particularly loud when connected directly to a speaker, but with full fuzz on it can get to shouting volume. you can get some of the weirder sounds this way though - all that cool tremolo-type stuff is more subtle when going into an amp.
it's a pretty lo-fi speaker driver so for using it as a a speaker driver, it's meant for home recording, home playing, studio recording, etc. OR you can just plug it in your pedal chain like a regular pedal and rock the fuck out with teh fuzz...
when used as a regular pedal it can get mega-bass-y on some settings. there's also some neat lo-fi treble boost type sounds which i really like, some interesting octave-y/arpeggiating stuff and the usual range of howling oscillation. i'm going to do 2 more demos - another with keyboards > speaker and another with guitar > amp.
Very interesting... but I'm hunting for a lo-fi DDeellaayy at the moment (Brian, I think you're the only one who can create the DDeellaayy of my dream). Can't wait to see the next clip... I might have some GAS!!
