Woah!

That is neat, can't wait to hear it.

The most fucking awesome filter pedal ever indeed.

First off, thanks for posting! We'd love to see more Subdecay around these parts.

Second... HOLY CRAP! That sounds UH-MAZE-ING. I am so looking forward to demos. This is the first filter pedal I've really been interested in since my old big-box EHX Bass Microsynth (not an apples-to-apples comparison, I know). The features here look really stellar. If the sound is anywhere close to measuring up (and I'm sure it will), this will definitely get high placement on my GAS list.

Is the step filter similar to those in the Proteus (tap)?

it's quite similar when the shape knob is set to random. That's the one to the left. But it also does a bunch of other step wave forms as well with normal LFO's. you use the warp knob to control how fast the underlying LFO goes in relation to the step rate. and yeah, tap tempo.

That's only one of the things it does though.

There are basically 9 functions with lots of different variations
-analog envelope (up and down)
-tap tempo step filter
-trigger filter (tap switch twice and LFO triggers once)
-manual LFO- use warp knob to adjust speed manually- tap/hold switch momentarily stops the LFO.
-warp LFO- tap tempo LFO driven auto wah. warp knob warps wave shape.
-pixelated envelope- basically sample hold of the envelope follower with tap tempo. (i dont think anyone has ever done this before)
-envelope trigger- envelope triggers LFO, also tap tempo, but only at a 1x ratio.
-envelope manual LFO- auto wah where envelope controls the speed
-envelope LFO- similar to the envelope manual LFO, but it works a little differently.

Lube up that GAS list--the greatness of the Prometheus sound-wise has never been in question, and this is the same VCA-based engine. :thumb:

I don't know what half if those functions mean, but that thing looks awesome! So with exp, you could use it as a wah?

Asuming what i Read, i would say no. Exp controls lfo speed. But i may Be wrong.

It will probably replace my Proteus. (depending on the price).

Yes it can be used that way. If you use the expression pedal in the trigger/LFO setting tracks one LFO cycle to the expression pedal. So if you use the ramp shape it works as a wah. use the saw wave and works as a wah in reverse. Make sense??? :picard:

Yeah I've been writing and rewriting the instructions for this thing. Trying to keep it simple but explain everything.
I did let Zach play around with it for a while. He seemed to figure most of it out in about ten minutes... but he didnt use the expression pedal with it.

Fuck, I still need to get the Octasynth! This new filter GAS cannot be allowed, not yet at least. I need to ignore.

And welcome! Love what you've done thus far, can't wait to see what else you're up to :thumb:
