Stereo operation. Oscillation. Modulation/Chorus off and on. Yep. I want 3 buttons on it.

I'm just not sure about doing an ultimate SDD... I think I'd like to experiment a bit with other delay options for awhile... delay is a tough market and I want to think about my right spot in it.

V3205 with tap... haven't tried one myself or know anyone who has.

The idea of a Dr.Scientist analog delay is really really exciting though. I could lend you my AD900 for a few months if you like. If you manage to top that guy, you'll really have the analog delay market cornered for certain.

The EHX Deluxe memory man with tap tempo has been scrapped due to chip problems... they managed to build 300 of them and now they need to redesign the whole pedal. I've owned two BogBoxDMM that were were 'meh' sounding, but I've played a friends from Halifax once that was REALLY REALLY rich. I don't know if it's a year, quality control, or chip difference... but there is a demand in that corner. add an effects loop and that's a winner.

after you get the UltimateCC up and running, why not work on something new? phaser? flanger? or invest yourself deep into CPU programming like you've mentioned... a marriage of a digital pedal with quality analog input/output sections is easily where the future of pedals is going, and Dr.S is all about that future!

If we're doing digital why not take some of the lesser used, for me at least effects, and make a quality multi-effect "Toolbox" e.g Flanger, Vibrato, Leslie, maybe a bit of Chorus or Tremolo. Nothing fancy for tweaking each one.... Oh well, I'd buy it.

Kev called it again, that's exactly the path I was thinking! V3205 with tap tempo... and yeah, I think I could stay off the Young Pedals delay's toes, there's lots of room for two pedals like that and different directions for the features to go in. His pedals should get talked about a lot more btw, they seem to rule hard!

The thing is, I do want to learn more programming and do more micro based stuff. So my next projects to get more into micro programming will be learning tap tempo and learning waveforms/oscillators. I know I can just use the available tap tempo chips that are all ready to go but I really want to learn it myself from the inside.

Martin, you've got a solid idea there for sure but it ain't for me... I could never do a multi with minimal tweaking.. I gotta do singles with tons of tweaking! *smile*

I think I'm the only person on the planet that doesn't get along with or care about tap tempo. I see the appeal of it, but so many people are chasing down that path these days. Didn't the old SDD have an option to switch the modulation on and off? Why did you change that option, just curious? I like having modulation as an option, but it would be nice to be able to switch it in and out.

Yeah I don't really care about tap either... part of me considers it the auto-tune of guitar pedals... but another part of me knows people love it and I do think it's cool... I guess I'm more excited about it as my next micro project and a new direction.

The old SDD had a toggle to turn the modulation on and off and then for the last round of SDDs I changed that to a knob. I just thought it was a feature that deserved some control rather than just a fixed depth for the modulation.. the knob you let go from none to lots. I could have done it as a stomp, I guess I just like pedals with one stomp, I don't know.

I prefer pedals with limited switching options, as well. But it would be nice to have the option to turn it on and off in the middle of a show in a convenient fashion. It's why I also love the idea of a self-oscillation footswitch - like the hold mode you have on the new tremolessence. That's a great feature with the soft touch. Being able to get all freaky at a moments notice and then pull it back out again is super appealing. A few folks have done it in the past, I know. But as I'm really just starting to discover the joys of your stuff, I'd like YOUR delay to offer it. HA!

I think that's a sweet option for the 'hold' feature for the delay too... maybe an option of 'hold' modes could be possible, like self-oscillate or delay on/off...

I'm not really a tap tempo guy... I have this feature on the Empress SuperDelay and I never use it. I prefer tweaking knobs.
