Coincidence?

Also, bone-inducing guitar you have there.

Are those normal JM style pups or are they overwound/p90/humbucker/ect.?

Mario Martin in Nashville and it's a Jazzmaster, pretty standard with the normal pickups and switching and bridge. I don't know why I waited so long to get a JM style guitar, I love it.

I really liked the look of that Japan one but I just don't go for hollow-bodies... I want all that wood in there. *that's what she said*

Shit sir, that's gorgeous, congrats! Looks like Mario Martin did one heck of job there. Wood or matching headstock??

Good call passing on the Japan model. Those new MIJs are waaaaayyyyy too expensive and you would've had to upgrade on top of that.

Thanks! Wood headstock.. in retrospect, I think I should have done a bound neck with matching headstock... maybe next birthday I'll get a new neck for it!

Binding makes everything better! Well, almost everything. I have a Maton that's bound front and back on the body but the set neck has none. I long to have it fully bound but I think I'm over it now. If it was a bolt-on, I'd probably switch it eventually.

Yeah I think binding is cool too! Flippin unbound neck...

That's a downright sexy Jazzmaster! Will it be part of your birthday discounts? :p

For the longest time binding used to be a deal breaker for me. Then came the 3x P90 non-reverse Firebirds from Gibson which I just had to have, but there's no binding on those. Tried it out then bought it anyway and as a result I've stopped thinking of binding as a necessity. Some guitars still look better to me with than without it, but I don't even notice when playing anymore.
