That's version 1 -- it's cool. The main difference I think is the footswitchable boost in v2.

$420, look like an MKI.

Somebody SNATCH THAT! Seeing that brought back the gas though
a) I don't have the money and
b) it should be redundant to me
(yeah, I'm stupid like that but it'd be nice to have that sound as an option for my clean amp, too)

sooo valve klipper owners past and present
was yours really noisy?

mine seems to introduce a shitwad of buzz even when its not on and even more when its on
but it seems to go away as soon as i touch the footswitches or jacks
possibly ground issues?

Buzz? :idk: Sounds like possibly the grounding to me. If that's not an issue...Does it happen at all gain levels? And is there any fluorescent lamps in where You play? They are known to cause trouble with old skool tube amp designs so turning lights off might help. If checking all that doesn't help, contact the Faustone for tips. :erm: My amp IS a bit noisy, when I don't play, feedbacking like any blasting tube amp, only a bit more than others I've played. The fuzz has a little to do with it, it's the easily driven, thunderous amp itself, I think. Plus the hiss from the Klipp. Have You heard the old Black Sabbath live recordings?

Do You make Use of that monstrous treble boost? If yes, start by checking the shielding and grounding of the instrument, that helped my problems with the amp, though I had to lower the bass preamp treble boost, too. :idk:

If there's any issues with the instrument grounding and shielding, You'll might have the cultist coming to Your door, asking to come for the worship the Snake God in the backyard hissing the trebly shazzy drone.
SHHHHHHHHZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAHSHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYSssHHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZHHHHHHHHHHHH

Remember though that I don't have the actual Valve Clipper preamp pedal but rather the amp, and though they should be the same, there can be differences.

I was lusting after a Klipper for quite a while and hey....I know the Valve Klipper is cool but I have two tube pedals I think are probably equally as good as (heresy, I know) or maybe even better than the Klipper.....the Stephenson Stage Hog and the Coopersonic Twin Tube Overdrive....I am getting some fantastic sounds from each of these or the two in combination....I bought the Stephenson used for $475 shipped and saw one go on e-bay for about $30 cheaper shipped.... it also doubles as a great low wattage amp....Has some really aggressive Marshally grind...If I had to choose one dirt pedal this one would be it.....the Coop I bought used for $135...KInd of JTM45ish to fuzz....both really great pedals and can be had for less than the Faustone....neither have the Sabbath cachet....though I know the Coopersonic is being used by both J Spaceman and Doggen of Spiritualized and one of the members of Arctic Monkeys.

I just like to share what I like.

Foot of J Spaceman with a Coop.

maybe its supposed to be this noisy ill still email and ask just incase
but when you add other old noisy boxes in aka space echo its like a swarm of bees in the room

even with the treble booster off you can cut the entire thing out in this version
those old black sabbath recordings could be a tell tale then if there noisy then boy this pedal is true to its larger papa
