I was going to ask to be included in this, but instead, I think I may just add a Frazz Dazzler to my order whenever The Elements is released. Receiving a fuzz and distortion from the Dr. on the same day would be epic.

All you dudes are cool for sure, no problemos, all buddies!
AngryGoldfish wrote:I was wondering whether I would be eligible for this, considering that I've got 100 posts or so and live in Ireland? I guess I'm not a complete n00b as I've bought from you directly before. No worries at all if you don't want to risk it, though. I will not be offended at all.
No sweat, Danny, you're in! The thing is, you might have to wait a bit as shipping to Ireland and back by the cheapest way could take a month both ways, so that could be a problem to the logistics of it all...
Same for the Canucks, I'd like you to get to try it for sure, Colin, so maybe when the pedal is over in the pacific northwest or something it can pop up to BC. (PS, your avatar pic is so cool! Christmas at your house looks awesome!)
The list is getting long already and going to take some real effort to keep sorted and all that...
Jero wrote:Buuuuuuuddy, you've got to let me in on this! I'll even take responsibilty for getting everyones info and setting up the order
If you're really really up for this task and really really don't mind taking care of these details then you betcha I'd love if you did, thank you very much! We'll come up with some kind of treat for the Traveling Frazz Ambassador as I know it'll be a bit of a chore to orchestrate all this. Thank you again, my Secret Santa and Travel Ambassador! *big hug*
The traveling Frazz is officially in the mail today so vidnotlaw will get it next week probably.
Mike, you're in of course and you can definitely do an audio review for your website but this demo pedal isn't for a legit review as in no pics, please. It's not a finished box and the pcb is a proto version which in my case means it's all hacked up and experimented with.
Thanks again guys!

No problem, I'll just use pics of your other completed Frazz Dazzlers for visuals if that's cool?

I just stumbled upon this thread! Very cool idea!
As I am first on the list... I'll post here when I get my hands on the pedal. I *MAY* be able to do a demo, not sure yet since I am in the middle of moving back into MY OWN house and trying to patch things up with my girlfriend! It's been a crazy 6 months... that's for sure!

I'm hoping we can finally make it work this time!
Anyway...
I REALLY look forward to playing around with this pedal! I'm not big on 'gated' fuzz pedals, but I am hoping that the gating affect on the Frazz is minimal! I do love a fuzz with massive gain though, and I'm pretty sure the Frazz has that covered!
The only thing that I will need is the address of whom I need to send the pedal to when I'm finished testing it out!
Thanks again Ryan... your the best!
Take care and enjoy,
Vid

We should map the frazz out and put it in a smaller box to keep shipping down.

Should also try and use the same box/wrapping every time to cut cost and waste.
I need to come up with an official list of who's a part of this (Ryan, if you could help since you are the one deciding who can/can't). After that, I will have everyone send me their info, and map out the best path. Then I can post the order and go from there.
So far, it looks like:
Vidnotlaw - March 30ish
Bellyheart -
theactionindex -
hclapp219 -
Wes Mantooth -
Holy Schnikes -
bob the R0bot -
wfs1234 -
CBGB -
sylnau
colin
hazelwould
AngryGoldfish
Jero
So as long as all of those are Ok'd by Ryan (which I think they are), we can get this going. Maybe we should have a cutoff/deadline for joining in, or is the list plenty already?

Alright, as the unofficial "Traveling Frazz Ambassador," I'm going to go ahead and take charge
Here is the official list of all those involved:
Vidnotlaw, Bellyheart, theactionindex
hclapp219, Wes Mantooth, Holy Schnikes
wfs1234, CBGB, colin, hazelwould,
AngryGoldfish, Jero, Raintes
That's 13 of us. When you consider it, with the amount of time to ship through everyone, and time spent with everyone...this could very well span a couple months. That being said, each person is to have the Frazz for NO MORE THAN
3 days. If you don't need it that long, by all means, keep it moving. Even a day helps.
PLEASE make a demo if you can. No one will hate you if it's not studio quality; Don't be shy. Does not have to be a video either.
Let's try and use the same box, wrapping, etc, each time it is sent. This will save money, and time.
Please use USPS &/or Canadian Post, and get Delivery Confirmation. It's cheap and if not anything else, offers some reassurance.
After I have each persons info (pm's are fine), I will send out your "Mailing To:" This is simply the information for whom you will be mailing the Frazz to. When you have shipped it out, you will contact your person letting them know, as well as giving the DC#.
A list of the shipping order will be posted once I hear from everyone.

Jero, you flippin' rule! *bestows official Ambassadorial robes and magic staff to Jero*
Everybody in this whole thread is cool to try the Frazz and Jero's methods sound pretty reasonable to me. It's ok if you can't do a demo video, I'm fine with this just being a chance for ILF pals to try the pedal so don't feel bad if you don't have the time or gear or whatever.
It's in the mail to Vid as of yesterday, hope it arrives soon, and I hope things go well for you, Vid, sounds like a tough 6 months.
I should do a couple recommendations for getting the most out of the Frazz...
I recommend using the gating side with your guitar volume all the way up. The non-gating side responds quite well to the guitar's volume.
The gate is less obtrusive the hotter the pickups are, so with single coils it'll seem like a more gated effect than with humbuckers or actives.
You can plug in whatever you want that has a 1/4" jack, synths or bass or drum machines, line level is fine.
For full Frazziness make sure to have the mix knob all the way up.
An expression pedal of 50k or more will work best, must be TRS.
You can use 9VDC to 18VDC but higher voltage just makes it sound less gainy so stay at 9VDC for the most fuzz/distortion.
There's no battery in the Frazz so if you're a battery only purist don't sign up!
Be careful with the volume control when you have the mix 100%, it's really loud if you're on a clean channel with lots of headroom.
Play lots of power chords and palm mutings, it'll enjoy that.
Thanks again, Jero!
