I snagged my Ross for around $125. They're out there. It has internal trimpots to really dial in the tone too. And built like a tank!
The Filter Matrix is on the Deluxe Electric Mistress, Stereo Electric Mistress, Stereo Polychorus, the new Neo Mistress will have it also. SOunds like what you mean, Or am I saying something very dumb?

Nah you're right, Toonster, but there are actually two different methods...the 'filter matrix' method turns the LFO off and gives you those weird metallic, sproingy filter sounds.
However, the MXR pedal (and others based on it) allow you to 'blend' the LFO out, so you can get anywhere from completely 'frozen' to normal flanger..with some really creepy effects in between...
