I'd just like to see more black buttons out there. Devi doesn't remember how to make them so it woulda been cool to have her reverse engineer her own pedal (even if it was a temp trade).
Though I guess anyone could trace it and post a schem ( :poke: winner).

I don't know if anyone else has a distaste for defx more than I do right now...I'm about $400 into a pedal that DOES NOT WORK.
...but I still think it was kinda dick.

you realize you were the first one to say anything about what the guy said about devi, right? :p

Indeed...but I am aware that I am insane.
I immediately distrust anyone who agrees with me

i wrote off devi after the truly ugly workhorse disaster and had not posted over there since the W.A.S.P. thread was nuked due to gunner being funny... as it turned out gunner wasnt being funny...

i really thought the dude who is selling is was pretty jerk like in the devi wanted it back haha comment. sorry, but i still believe in a level of professionalism but hey! :idk:

there is no way in hell i would buy that to trade to devi as the only thing i would want to trade devi for would be a TBKP but i cant trust it to work or be serviced properly by her if it doesent work so why bother. :idk:

if devi were smart, she would get this and then send it to aen to build more of just so it will sound good!

 Truth.

To be honest, Devi's been cool in our two transactions, but the cult of personality thing that forum has goin' on creeps me right out.

And my Dwarfcraft Dream Mangler gets WAY more play than my Ruiner > Bit, my TBD or my Ruby.

(although now that I have an ECT, the Dream Mangler is getting a little neglected...)

It's long nuked. Just keep in mind that if anybody says the phrase "Workhorse Fuzz", duck and cover.

Post a message on Devi's board saying that you recently acquired a Workhorse and its not working correctly, and you'd like her to repair it for you. I would love to watch the humor that ensues. :snax:

It's not like he went into the deets about the correspondence. I know it's different for us around here because we get to interact with the builders, which is awesome, but she does run a business. So I don't see the room for the double standard.
If Bob Moog got ahold of me because he found out that I had acquired the first theremin he had ever built, I wouldn't see the harm in putting that in the description. KInd of a cool bit of info that even the buyer my be interested in. The seller didn't spill the beans and said anything like "she wanted to trade me a bunch of Danelectro pedals, and I said suck it!" That would be a dick move.

jeez you'd think someone mentioned zack or sumthin. :idk:

the people that love devi take her with lumps and all...the people that don't ...well, devi gives them enuff ammo to rattle on about.
i am a big fan of devi's work even when she misses the mark...that's what i like about her...i like that she changes up everything at the drop of a hat...it doesn't bother me that she started this forum and split from it ..in fact, i like her more for it.

now some of these newer members here may think that i'm kissing her ass and i could give a fuk. i don't hang around her forum telling her how awesome she is. i don't like all her boxes...i don't like that there is an absence of tone controls on most everything she makes...like i said..: lumps and all!
IMO she is an individual and not chasing proven old timey tones but rather new types of tonal destruction..she's an artist and takes that approach to work, which is not the best way to run a business...one more reason why i like her.

but whatever.......

Nothing whatever...

Nothing whatever?

Nothing whatever!

That's very important!

plus the thread over on DEFX is now about labeling bands [ ;) ]

This subject is boring anyway... if Devi ever builds more of them it will stop being boring but intill then...
