No doubt. Options rule. I am just giddy thinking about all the possibilties...
what does everyone think about this layout? jacks would be on the long side where the knobs are.

so i came home from a shitty day at work to find this little update. long story short, my day is no longer shitty. SO SICK.

I'd speak for one right away if I'm not saving up for the fuck overdrive...

both sound awesome in that demo

there you have it.
*as noted in the video description, the slowest speed will be significantly slower than in the video. i didn't feel like taking the time to shield the photo resistors...

what kind of random are you using? I would assume its the obvious triangle with a sample and hold? I like the idea of pedals that sound organic

living breathing fuzz.
here is an idea/request but it seems a little late to change it now. Modulate the PWM with the volume and/or transients of the incoming signal. orrrrrrrr I have to get an envelope follower in modular format and plug the CV to your pedal. if you do a second run, put an envelope follower and call it the deluxe.

the random is not "true" random, but pseudo-random. i'm using an array of 5 squarewaves: 3 are set to very close, but separate frequencies, the other 2 are set a bit slower. all of them are controlled via LED/LDR using one speed pot. the incoming signal idea is something i'm already using in my overdrive, so i wanted to have something different. lots of pedals out there use sine/triangle/square LFOs, but not many have random functions... also this particular effect sounds tastier with a choppier randomness, as opposed to if it were gliding around.

more updates!
though the modulation section was a huge pain in the ass to lay out, i got a circuit board more or less done.
i don't know if i noted this earlier, but i'm extending the run to 10 pedals. 7 are spoken for so far and hopefully no one will bail last minute, but if they do no worries, things come up - i'll just have to run them all into each other and collapse the space/time continuum.
i think the name of the pedal will be the blargg-o-tron-o-tron and i'm working on some simple, but bad ass designs for the finish.
