Sorry I'm a little late getting back to this thread over the last couple days.. I'm gonna answer all the questions I see..

There's a couple little house-keeping details to tune up with the pcb and then I'll have to sho them around for manufacturing quotes, arrange the box drilling and finishing, pay for the manufacturing and wait... I want it all to go down as fast as possible but the steps can be slow.. it'll be 3 months at least I think for us to be making these.

I think we'll do the first couple finishes in old style Tremolessence finishes.. the kinds with the square and triangle waveform finishes.. something classic like that. And then who knows! Whatever Tanya wants I guess!

Good question! *smacks forehead* On the top back panel there's the in/out/9VDC jacks. Stereo in and out so you plug in a TRS jack for stereo and a regular guitar cable for mono. If you want a second output with a mono input you just click the plug into the first click of the jack.

The top left knob is volume, goes from pretty quiet to a big volume boost. The top right knob is treble, it's active so it goes from really dark all the way down to really bright all the way up with normal being in the middle. The big LED at the top in the bezel is the on/off LED. The little LED below it is the oscillator LED, it shows what the oscillator is doing in terms of waveform shape, depth, and rate and is always on.

The middle left knob is shape and it changes the duty cycle/symmetry of the waveforms.. triangle waveform gets shaped into ramps up and down and the square waveform gets shaped into.. well.. blips or bleeps. Longs or shorts or 50/50.

The middle toggle switch chooses between triangle waveform or square waveform.

The middle right knob is depth. The bottom right knob is rate. The bottom left knob is for the hold mode and it controls the rise time or how long the effect takes to ramp in. The bottom toggle switch chooses between normal on/off mode and the hold mode.

On the side of the box are expression jacks for depth and rate. They both work off of control voltage.

It's great, Blake, and thanks for asking! It works quite nicely and I think it's a cool feature for adding some expressiveness to the effect for those without expression pedals.

It also has a cool kinda use as a buffered bypass. When you're in hold mode, the pedal is on but the signal is completely unaffected by the modulation, totally dry. So you can match your exact volume and treble settings and have basically a buffered bypass that you can tailor the sound of. Like a boosted bypass if you want since the controls are still active. And then when you hold down the stomp switch, you get tremolo too. Like getting two birds stoned.

Heck yeah! It's not so bad though, I like working with smd... I got pretty good at it doing all the big box RRR pcbs.

It would be awesome if Prymaxe started stocking Dr. Scientist. They're great guys.

as of today I want my tremolessence pedal to have a stomp for the hold feature instead of a switch.....
it'll probably have to be in a bigger box too.
I wonder who I'll get to mod that.....

Haha right on, Jeff, thanks! We're actually doing these Tremolessences in the same style as the mini-RRRs right from the get go. That's not a pcb that can be done by hand, a machine needs to make that. And the box will be way too complicated with controls for Tanya to work with, it would take her a whole day just to get all the control labels down, so powder coating and screen printing is the best option too. (I'm exaggerating a bit there but the more knobs and switches and jacks that a pedal gets the more it just becomes a chore for her of placing letters on the box and it's a real grind.)

We'll be making progress with that as fast as we can, it takes a little while but then we'll be able to get these pedals out to stores like never before.

Prymaxe will get them too, I'm looking forward to working with Cory and we'll be sending him mini-RRRs next week, the pcbs and boxes are in the mail to us right now.

I think I've satisfied all the requirements of your message so it's hard kissing time now I guess. *braces self*

You can control how long it takes the waveform to start tremoloing with the rise knob. It's just a little feature to give a little bit of expressiveness to the pedal.

I'm still working on a final pcb version that will be set up properly for the manufacturer and that's the next step in the process, shopping around the pcb layout for production quotes. Least fun part!

That sounds SWEET!!! Pretty much like controlling vibrato with a stringed instrument (and by that, I mean violin family where it's more noticeable).

Yeah, totally! And that's where I got the idea from in the first place, the VB-2 vibrato pedal... I think it's similarly cool with tremolo. Any modulation really!
