Futuresailors just wants a Rat with an EQ. And a clean blend. And vibrato. And a sustain switch. And sparklz.
And make the clean blend only effect the distortion and not the modulation.

Yeah I was just thinking normal sustain without any sound effecty kinda stuff.. although that sounds pretty cool too. I don't have a circuit in mind for that or anything, just spit balling... thinking of what would be cool tricks for a distortion pedal.
I don't really think I'm gonna do vibrato for this pedal, that was just some out-there spit balling... some times spit balls fly pretty left of centre but they're not foul. (I don't know much about sports but I'm pretty sure there's a lot of foul balls involved with hockey.)

Distortion? Hmmm...
Well in general, the reason I love the Snowdrift is that it just plays and sounds so organic. Do what you can to make it organicy and I'll <3 you more :P

And touchdowns.
And lemonade.

Honestly, if you can even come through with some of the more basic stuff we've talked about in this thread, then I think this will still be one really cool pedal. Not many distortion pedals have that much versatility, and a blend knob just puts it over the top. The sustain feature would be cool, but I'd still be happy purchasing one, even if it doesn't get to that point.

How about an Over-Compressed switch?
Something sounds like this...

I've been using The Cleanness' bass boost to push Rat/FuzzFace/DS-1 trying to emulate this sound. It gets close, but not quite there..., not as "dynamic." And I blame that to the dirt pedals, not The Cleanness.

Love that album. I hear that super compressed sound on Wind's Poem also. Supposedly it's just a HM-3 or something like that. IDK though. I'm sure it's just layers of compressed guitars.
Overly compressed with the "bloom" like that would be really cool! And it'd probably sustain forever.

Not sure why Phil changed the name from The Microphones to one of their albums, but nonetheless The Glow pt. 2 is an amazing album, and as much as I enjoy Mount Eerie I just don't get that same feeling that I find in The Moon.
Sorry to get off topic: The Elements is going to be awesome, and weather related artwork would be awesome. Like a typhoon or blizzard.
